3 - Strange warrior and sorceress

BTW how are you all?

I couldn't hear much from the kitchen besides some irritated yelling and Ava's muffled screams. To be honest I was a bit too tired to care. It was obvious they weren't going to kill us because they would've done it already.

Also I was pointing a sword at them, which would've been enough of a reason to kill me. So I just let sleep take me, I was tired of this bullshit. Then I woke up to someone clapping their hands.

I awoke from a somewhat peaceful nap, but I refused to open my eyes. One reason was to try and get some information from what they were saying. The second reason is I'm already in a comfortable position with my head leaning back on the couch, plus I was too tired for their bs.

I wasn't being restrained anymore, probably because I was asleep, though I felt weight next to me on both sides. I believe one was Johnny cuddling up to me, and the other one was most likely the demon-like creatures. I then realized I couldn't hear Ava's screams anymore.

Deciding to scratch the idea I just had, I slowly opened my eyes. Looking around to see where each of the creatures are. Pierce still holding the now not screaming Ava, Rhys is in front of them, Noi is now not restraining me but seems like he was banging his head on the wall presumingly from Ava's screaming, Asch is the one sitting next to me to my right while Johnny was to my left, and I can't see Leif from where I'm looking.

"Seems like the other human is awake." I heard that deep voice and looked over toward Pierce, Rhys, and Ava. All the attention now is on me.

"Glad to see you aren't dead yet warrior~ It would be terrible if you were, it's my job to make that happen." I heard whispering in my right ear, I didn't need to see who it was to know it was Leif.

I looked over my shoulder glaring at him, his face not even two inches from mine. He had on a cocky smirk as his teal blue eyes looked into my e/c ones. I was ignoring what was happening and didn't notice a voice trying to get my attention.

"Human!" Finally breaking the stare me and Leif had, I looked over at the source of the voice. It was Rhys who had been trying to get my attention, probably had something to say or to at least give some explanation about the whole situation.

I stand up from the couch making Johnny make a noise as if asking why I moved. Johnny fully wakes up stretching and letting out a cute meow. He jumped onto my shoulder and curled around my neck, settling comfortably, purring while rubbing his face in my neck.

"Woah, I've never seen a spirit act like that, let alone an E-urth spirit!" The orange one known as Noi exclaimed. I just ignored him, focusing my attention only on Ava to make sure they didn't hurt her.

"Human, please forgive our intrusion, but we wish to speak with you." Rhys began directing his voice to Ava while looking at her.

"Now if we let you move, will you promise not to have the warrior attack us or scream, we promise we won't hurt you."

"No we don't." Asch spoke out glaring daggers at Ava. I glared at him basically saying 'If you even dare even lay a finger my best friend I will turn you into a poisoned burnt demon kebab and have you burn with your own fire.'

Ava slowly and shakily nods wanting to be let down as quickly as possible.

"Good, Pierce let her go." Pierce put Ava down, officially out of his grasp. Ava turned around looking up to face him, he patted her head in an attempt to calm her down.

After that Ava immediately ran up to me and dug her face into my chest in a tight scared hug. I put my arms around her protectively to calm her down, though...I'm happy she came to me for protection. A small smile appeared on my face, my eyes softening while looking at Ava.

Johnny meows from my shoulder, gaining my attention. He digs his head more in my neck, most likely wanting scratches. I move my hand to scratch Johnny's head while still holding onto Ava.

Rhys POV:

This human warrior is certainly something. Not only is she very skilled, but has quite the connection to this E-urth spirit and other female human. Although I can't see both the humans properly, I can tell that this E-urth will certainly be surprising.
