"Wow... Who was that?" Miles asked himself as he was walking back to the café after secretly chasing the bodyguard that took Soren Chandler's orders. He never saw Soren Chandler smile that wide ever. Not even in the photos he had from the media nor in his movies.
All that Soren Chandler portrayed were characters who are serious. That's what made people love him though. His stoic and uninterested look paired with his charismatic looks made him such an interesting character that when someone stumbles upon his name and sees his face, they couldn't help but be drawn to the unnoticeable riptide Soren was creating towards him.
His hand suddenly twitched at the memory. He wanted to see that again. He wanted to see that picture of Soren Chandler smiling so wide that it reached his ears and made his eyes turn crescent. Miles wanted to capture a photo of that again.
But despite that, he dismissed the thought as he finally arrived in the café and his mind went back to the offer being given by Soren Chandler.
'I really want the position...' Miles thought as his fingers grazed over the keys of his laptop and his eyes darted to the recent email Jackson had sent him when he went out to follow Soren's bodyguard.
It was Soren Chandler's personal email.
As a matter of fact, no one would even know it was Soren Chandler because there was no hint that it was Soren Chandler in the name. It was just a bunch of random letters and numbers mixed up together accompanied by the identification of which website it belonged to.
Sighing, he scratched his head and highlighted the email.
He was nervous.
Miles had to respond to Soren Chandler himself as per Jackson's request.
What should he say?
At first, he really did not want to work for Soren Chandler at all. Only if it weren't for him seeing that single expression from Soren Chandler's face, he wouldn't even bother going with it at all.
'Fine!' He almost threw his hands in the air in exasperation as he finally gave in.
This was once in a lifetime chance.
There couldn't possibly be another opportunity for him to work with someone as big as Soren Chandler. This was the shot that he needed amidst the negative thoughts all lurking in his head as if they were serpents hiding in the dark and waiting to bite his face to remind him of how stupid his decision had been.
Additionally, if he weighed the options right now, working for Soren Chandler was unquestionably the only option a wise man could do.
But Miles was no wise man.
He was stupid in many aspects and the only time his luck sided with him was when he got this position in Seven.
'I'm not that stupid!' He argued particularly to no one as he started writing his message to Soren Chandler.
Based on his assumptions, Soren Chandler really wanted to work with him seeing that the man gave his personal email to Jackson and allowed it to be passed on to Miles.
'Man, he trusts too quick,' Miles shook his head. 'But this email looks like it was generated as a suggestion and he took it without question,' he added while peeking a glance at the email situated right on top of the message box he was composing on.
A few minutes had passed and Miles was finally done with the email. It was short yet formal and concise. He made sure not to run in circles with his thoughts and directly address the issue.
He looked at the cursor pointing on the final word of his message as it blinked repeatedly.
If he sends this right now, his life would surely take on a new path after working with Soren Chandler. It could be good and bad. It could be good in a sense that his promotion as an editor would be secured and he would never had to work in the actual field anymore and could just laze around the office while reviewing articles. Not just that, it would also assist Seven in making their name much more known throughout the world.
