It has just been a week and half of the world is covered with these people that moves and act zombie like. The government officially declared it as an apocalypse and now we're currently at the jet on our way to the headquarters.
"How's laura and the kids?" I overheard natasha and clint having a conversation while we finally arrived walking our way inside
Fury then showed up leading the way. We stumbled in this huge facility.. people working everywhere.. a huge screen showing how many people are getting infected and their specific area.
"It takes less than half a minute for the virus to go in the host's brain... And i don't have time to answer you if i wanna sleep on your bunker tonight" this woman shushed another agent firmly
"Everyone.. this is Doctor Romanova..in charge in finding the cure of this outbreak" fury introduced us.
She stepped out of her spot walking towards us with a smile while I'm lost staring at her eyes. Her iris has the same color as her brows.. eyelashes and hair.. it compliments her so well.
"Hi, you can call me y/n" she nodded reaching her hand
"W-Wanda" i swallowed thickly shaking her hand
"Oh.. maximoff, right?"
"Yes.."
"I've heard some stories about you..but they never told me you're this pretty" she smiled making me actually pout trying to stop mine
"3 minutes flirting and 20 thousand people already turned to zombies. Go back to your table" Nat huffed chuckling
Are they together? I mean i think romanova is the Russian of Romanoff... They don't look a like at all so they can't be siblings.. i think. "Actually.. need to go" y/n suddenly stated making her frown her brows
"I need my lab to finish this 3rd attempt vaccine" she sighs grabbing her coat putting it on
"You have a lab here, y/n. It's too dangerous to even step outside right now"
"I don't have the last substances i need. They're all in my lab in russia. I can't just command other agents to go... I'll formulate it there." She explained.
"I'm going with you" natasha nodded to herself
"You can't, you'll be dispatch in an hour to new jersey" fury cut her off
"Uhm.. I'll go with her" i interfere earning everybody's look
"She's into me" y/n whispered to nat earning a look from her
"No problem.. your helicopter is already waiting outside" fury stated
"Comeback... It's not a request, it's a command. Understand??" Natasha huffed as y/n gave her a smile
We both go outside, immediately hopping at the helicopter. "I'll explain everything after we land" y/n stated helping me get in.
I noticed how she rested her back on the seat closing her eyes, taking a really deep breath. Her smile Fading for the first time..she looked so exhausted and tired..
We both looked down seeing chaos.. people bombing these zombies as they all try to survive. My glare ended with y/n seeing her expression.. her eyes full of pity watching the scenery.
'Dont give up on me now...the world may have failed you.. but doesn't mean u wouldn't save it.' I read her mind..
The whole ride she was breathing heavily seems like she's catching her breath. I rested my hand on her thigh squeezing it in a comforting way earning her smile
