A competitive inkling named Duncan sits on a wall at Inkopolis, he is taking a break from the turf war for a while. A girl walks up to him,
"You were great." She said, smiling,
"Thanks, you were too." Duncan replied, returning the smile,
"I'm Abigail, but please call me Abbie, you're Duncan, right?" Abbie shook Duncan's hand politely, Duncan thought to himself, 'I never realised how beautiful this girl was...',
"Yes, I am Duncan, It's nice to meet to Abigail." He returned the hand shake,
"Wanna sit on the wall with me?" Duncan asked,
"If would...if I could reach.." Abbie said, pouting, Duncan blushed at the adorable pout,
"I can help you up if you want." Duncan replied, reaching his hand out to lift her up,
"Thank you!" Abbie held his hand as he helped her up, they both sat on the wall next to eachother. There was a moment of silence afterwards,
"So how are you?" Duncan asked, breaking the silence,
"I'm fine, how about you?" Abbie smiled,
"I'm good." Duncan replied,
"How about we be friends?" She giggled,
"Sure." Duncan replied. His heart began to beat a bit faster. He wanted them to be in a relationship, even if they did just meet, he had a crush on her. Duncan didn't know about Abbie though.

Later on in the day, Abbie was hanging around with her friends,
"You met a guy!?" Asked one of the girls,
"What's he like!?" Asked another,
"Calm down," Said Abbie trying to stop them barraging her with questions,
"I did meet a guy; his name is Duncan. He's sweet..." Abbie turned looking towards Duncan, he waved, slurping his drink,
"So you like him?" Asked Abbie's friend,
"...no." Abbie hesitated, they all laughed at her hesitant answer, she sighed.
"Lily, do you have to tease Abigail like that?" Said a boy from the distance, they all turned towards him,
"Leo!" Shouted Lily, leaping at Leo, giving him a tight squeeze,
"I was trying to get us a drink, but they were all empty." Leo said, kissing Lily on the forehead, Abbie blushed a bit and looked to the ground,
"What do you expect Leo? It's a hot day!" Shouted one of the girls,
"Shut it, Scarlet. I was actually expecting no drinks in the vending machines." He clenched his fist in anger,
"Mr. Smarty Pants, aren't you Leo!" Teased Scarlet, Leo launched to punch her, he stopped at a voice,
"Don't," it brushed past his ear,
"It's illegal to hit a girl isn't it, Leo?" The boy smirked,
"It is, but it's not illegal to hit a boy, Evan." Leo smirked back, they both lunged towards eachother,
"Stop!" Shouted Lily, they both stopped, mid-air,
"It's not cool to fight!" Lily cried, she looked at Leo in disappointment,
"Sorry Lily.." Leo said, walking up to Lily to give her a hug. They hugged knowing it was the best apology,
"Oi, get a room." Teased Evan, the others laughed, but Abbie kept silent and looked at Duncan,
"You have a crush, hm?" Questioned Evan, surprising Abbie and causing her to blush,
"N-No!" She trembled,
"You can tell me Abbie, I'm trustworthy!" Evan said, smiling, Abbie stayed silent.

Meanwhile, Duncan was talking to his group of friends, talking about various subjects. All the boys realised Duncan was somewhat quiet, but he was normally a loud-speaking smartass. He would always come up with tactics to beat the other teams,
"Duncan!" One of the boys said, getting his attention,
"What do you want Callum?" Duncan turned back to Callum with full-attention,
"What tactics do you have for us today?" Callum asked,
"None, sorry." Duncan replied, with an apologetic tone,
"Who's that over there Duncan? You seem to keep glancing at her. You have a crush on her?" Another boy asked,
"You decide," sighed Duncan,
"You decide my life for me anyway.." He shrugged,
"So that means a yes?" Said Callum, Duncan just sighed,
"Callum, I said John decides my life, not you." Duncan turned his head facing to his new friend (or crush), Abigail. Abigail turned her head at the same time too, their eyes met, they both quickly turned to their friends,
"You're blushing Duncan." Pointed out John,
"Captain obvious." Said Callum,
"Whatever." Duncan said, sipping his drink.

All Duncan could think about was Abigail. She was the only think on his mind. His heart raced at her to his thought. He decided to join a turf war to try and take his mind off of Abigail, but that didn't work; he would just lose. So Duncan decided to sit on a bench, and try to get a breather, a sudden voice came to him,
"Hey, Duncan, wanna do a turf war together? With strangers?" She smiled in excitement,
"Sure." Duncan replied. They walked to Inkopolis' tower togehter, they waited for a turf war to begin.
