Haseena turned the car engine off before sliding down the car window. She took her car keys before sliding out of the car.

Karishma's cousin's restaurant looked decent enough. Two mannequin standing near the entrance channel saying welcome. One could see through the glass wall, small tables were set discreet distances in the large indoor of that restaurant. Soft music drifted over as the crossed the entrance. Smell of Biriyani whirled over, making Haseena's mouth water.

Upon entering the patio, Haseena's steps faltered, "haat pakad lete hain." Karishma offered.
"Good idea." She clasped Karishma's hand before she guided the way.

"To kaam kaisa chal raha hain?" asked Karishma while she sat next to Haseena. Meera sat across the table grinning at them. "Mera chodo, tum log batao.."
Haseena looked at Karishma and chuckled awkwardly, "Ji hum relationship therapist hai. Mehta agency k liye kaam karte hain. 59/B yxz road.. ABC hospital se thodi si duri par left lene se apko humari agency dikh jayegi. Appointment time, 10am-12pm or 2.00pm-4.30pm. Sat day half day aur Sunday ko chutti. Ye lijiye humara card koi problem ho to call karke vi ap appointment book kar sakti hain." Haseena smiled and handed Meera her business card. Karishma rolled her eyes and kicked her leg under the table. Dhum!

Haseena groaned in pain, but decided not to shout cause that would be mannerless behaviour. "apne hume mara kiu?" Haseena whispered in her ear. Karishma gave her a sweetest smile, "Baby, Meera humse humare relation k bare mein puch rahi hain." she said through gritted teeth. "Asal mein humare Hasi bohot hi masoom hain." She squeezed Haseena's cheek lightly. Haseena got the message, "Wo acha.. hum dono.. hum dono.. um," She pause to think, "hum dono bohot hi jyada pyaar mein hain. Inki pyaar se humari aatma kisi din body se bahar aa jayegi." Haseena taunted her.
"Matlab?" Meera looked confusedly.
"Matlab wo kehte Hain na filmo mein ki tumhari pyaar mein mera jaan hi chali jayegi wo baat kar rahe hain." Karishma kicked her legs again.
"Ahh.. ha ha ye sahi keh rahe hain, humara wohi matlab tha."

Biriyani served for three of them. Haseena's stomach growled loudly, Meera chuckled, "Haseena ap suru kijiye, baate to hoti rahe gi."

Karishma served for both of them. She offered Haseena the bigger chicken piece. Haseena smiled at her gesture but decided to return it because she is on diet, remember?!
"Karishma ji, ap ye wala le lijiye main diet pe hu."
"Ajj to kamse kam khalo. Haddi dikhne lagegi diet karte karte, bhookhe Sher k samne chor denge to Sher vi tumhe nehi khayega." Karishma gave more biriyani to her plate, and directed her to eat it without any tantrums.

Haseena took the first bite of biriyani with aloo, which melts in her mouth. (Bengalis know how heavenly tastes Kolkata biriyani.. 🤤)

"waise Anubhav dikhe nehi kabse, kaha hain wo?" Karishma asked looking at Meera. She turned towards Haseena and said, "Anubhav, Meera ka fiancee hain. unlogo ka 2 mahine baad shadi hone wala hain."
"Wo MSOBG hain, Lifeline hospital mein." Meera further explained to her. "Par kaam ki wajah se hum log thik se mil vi nehi paate.." Meera sighed.
"Kaam kitna vi jyada kiu na ho, har insaan ko relationship mein wakt dena chahiye. It's like life time investment jo ap apni partner k liye karte hain. Career, Money-" Karishma kicked again, may be I should count how many times Haseena being kicked?!

Now she feeling like football.

"Baby hum yeha khana enjoy karne aaye hain.. tum zara apna therapist dimag ko bahar rakh kar aao." Karishma said sweetly, but Haseena knows excess sweetness causes Diabetics. "Dekhiye hum ab ye maar dhar bardasht nehi karenge, inquilab zindabad." She whispered lightly which only audible to Karishma.
When she looked into Karishma's eyes 'The danger ☠️' skeleton sign pooped into her mind. She better stop.

"Ha Haseena tum keh to thik rahe ho, isiliye usne agle hafte 2 din k liye ek trip plan Kiya hain. waise tum dono live-in relationship mein ho abhi, par shaadi kab karoge?"
Hassena choked her food before broke into coughing, "Hum, aur inse shaadi? kabhi nehi." She said out loud.
"Kya?" Meera asked wider her eyes.
"Ye keh rahe hain ki 'Abhi nehi' matlab abhi plan nehi hain badh mein sochenge." Karishma somehow managed.
'Ek no ki gundi hain ye. Inke seene mein dil nehi pathaar hain bade bade paathar. Shaadi kaa to pata nehi, par 1 mahine badh inse breakup zarur karenge.' Haseena thought to herself.

The romantic music started playing in the background, Haseena looked up from her food.. 'Kya chal raha hain bhai?'

A bright light hit on her face making her eye water. Her throat went dry due to thirst. "Paani, paani laao." she called. A hand suddenly forwarded a glass of red wine. Haseena quickly gulped it down without thinking much. But one solid thing stucked in to her throat making her wince in pain. She started cough. Then the hand help her, it smacked her back, causing her to throw up the solid thing. The light gone dim now. She got a clear view of her surrounding.

The solid thing is nothing but a beautiful wedding ring. Karishma washed the ring before kneeling infront of her. "Tum kitne buddu ho. socha tha wine mein ring daal k tumko surprise dunga." Karishma paused for a moment, 'Bapre, itna jaan lewa surprise sirf aur sirf Karishma de sakti hain.' Haseena thought to herself. Her thought broke when Karishma speak again, "Haseena kya ap humse shaadi karengi." Karishma gave her a 'shyest' smile.

"NEHHIIIIIII!!!" Haseena wake up from the night mare. Her throat was dry, voice seemed husky. Oh she have got cold having a bite of butterscotch icecream. How Great!!
