Chapter 24

Tagore said,
"আমার পরান যাহা চায়
তুমি তাই, তুমি তাই গো"

Karishma placed a cup near expresso machine. The hiss of the machine made her headache. Smell of sweet pastries made her stomach growl, as she hadn't eaten anything since morning. She decorated coffee with cream and put the croissant, pastries in the plate and garnished with chocolate chips.
"Aa Billa order le ja." She called her and Billu appeared the counter with another order.
"Di, ye lo dusra order." She took the order, while Billu walked off with the tray in his hand.

"Latte Cheese Cake with rich chocolate glaze."

She huffed and glanced at the watch which shows it's just 1.02pm. No so late for lunch anyway. The cafe usually packed this time and Nisha would join her after sometime.

Later Nisha, the partime worker came in and took Karishma's place. Karishma went to washroom to freshen up.
When she came back, the cafe door opens revealing a little boy. He hold a yellow dahlia, which symbolises cheerful or joyful life, brighten up days. Karishma instantly went towards him and gave him a cute smile. He handed her the flower and she took it delightly.
Holding his hand Karishma brought him at her free room. Instantly he sat on the chair and huffed.

Karishma gave him a glass of cold water and pinched her cheeks, "Kya be chotu.. thak gaya hain?"
He gulped down it before answering, "Huh.. sukriya didi."
"Hmm.. chal tu haat mu dho ke aa main khana lagati hu." He nodded and dashed to restroom.

Karishma nodded smiling. After replacing the previous day's pink rose with yellow dahlia, Karishma smiled satisfyingly.
Holding a bowl and a bottle of water she existed from the cafe. A reddish brown dog patiently sat there. She immediately jumped after seeing Karishma, holding her on the waiting, licking her hand.
"Chod, kya kar raha hain.. gulabo baith ja.." Karishma grope her both hand and made her sit. She placed the bowl of water infront of her which she immediately started licking, quenching her thirst.
After drinking Gulabo pushed the bottle cap towards Karishma with her hand which is actually her payment system or currency whatever you say. She always collects bottle cap garbage and give it to Karishma, while Subham handed her various kinds of flowers.

Karishma took the coke zero cap and patted her smooth fur, "Payment grunted buddy. Tu baith yeha.. main khana leke aayi ok." Gulabo wagged her tail in agreement and sat there like a good girl she is.

"Chotu, meri Amma ka na pair mein moch aa gaya hain.. to subha subha khus khas tiffin banake nehi laa payi, plane sabji hain, tujhe chalega?" Karishma asked with a cute pout, "Khane k badh icecream meri taraf se ok?" she added.
Subham chuckled, "Didi, tum kuch vi banao bohot tasty hota hain."
"Humm! makkhan ha?"
Subham showed his tongue.

Karishma served themselves two plates of Sabji rice.
"Didi, tumko pata hain aj ek bohot hi haseen didi ne mere saare gulab kharid liye." He said before taking the first morsel.
"haseen didi?" Speaking of any words related to this word her heart automatically taken her to her Haseena land. Haseena, wearing a red sari, with red roses are as red as her red lips, scrambled across her. She winked and smiled at her, showing that killer dimple. Karishma sat beside her close closure closest.. just she need to bent a little and kiss-

"Di? Karu didi?" Subham chanted her name repeatedly. Karishma brought back from her Haseena land. Her cheeks became red like Haseena's sari, thinking about what she thought earlier.
"Ha? oh ha batao?"
"Ha to suniye, unhone mere 23 gulab kharid liye, aur paise ho gaye 980. Par unke pas change nehi tha. Fir unhone humein 100 ke 10 note diye, fir-"
"23 gulab 980 kisne bataya?"
"Unhone.. mujhe maths bilkul nehi aati apko pata haina." Karishma nodded and asked Subham to carry on. "Fir humne unhe 20 rupaye ka change laake wapas Kiya...aur.." He blabbered.
Karishma smiled internally, That Haseen girl must be very haseen by heart also."
