The Nightwings (chapter 9)

Yn pov 2 days later

I never expected this to happen being in charge of over 20,000 men and women, but I'm getting off track I guess I should explain how this happened. After I agreed to take Naomi, Qhala summoned the 414 in the hanger/runway After that it was chaos for a solid minute of people yelling, shouting, and shooting anything that moved Eventually I was able to calm them down, and explain where they were and what happened which took 2 days. Now I was flying back to the tunnel with an officer, infantry, sniper, spec ops, heavy, and Naomi on my back all of their weight combined weighed me down but I kept going. Once we reached the tunnel I landed to rest, as soon as I landed I collapsed

Yn: get off my damn back

They all climbed off my back the officer chuckled a little at my tiredness

Officer: I remember you having more stamina

Yn: another word and I'll eat you I'm not in the mood right now for this shit

He backed off with a slight chuckle he knew not to fuck around and find out. Naomi walked up to my wings studying them

Naomi: Do they hurt

Yn: they're a little sore I just need to rest for a minute all of you and your equipment weigh more than a dragon I once carried on my back

Naomi: So we're heading to this rainwing village right to help them free their people

I nodded it was a simple plan which made it all the more difficult. I stood back my wings feeling better

Yn: All right, everyone back on my back

I lowered my wing so everyone could climb up it. Once everyone was one I walk through the tunnel and into the rainforest Naomi asked a billion questions about it which made me smile she kinda reminded me of Cricket from the lost continent books though I never finished the third one since I got sucked into this world. Maybe I should use magic to create the books I haven't finished or read yet.

Time skip back to the village

I got a very valuable piece of information while I was gone Starflight had found a dreamvisiter and talked to Glory. Now all I had to do was wait for another day then he would be here I dropped off the squad with Tsunami and let Naomi hang out with Sunny since if she talked to anyone else their head would probably explode from all the questions she asked. However, I instantly went to Leopard after I dropped everyone off and spent the day with her of course she scolded me for being gone for so long without telling her where I was going before she started cuddling me on a branch

After a while of waiting a rainwing quickly flew up to me and Leopard which pissed me off but I didn't show any anger

Rainwing: Queen Glory needs you at the nightwing tunnel I think it was for battle planning

I nodded and thanked the rainwing for letting me know and pried myself away from Leopard who didn't want to let me go. By the time reached the tunnel they had already decided on a plan to use blow darts so I walked up to Starflight started talking to him and decided to give him some words of encouragement so he could finally tell Sunny that he loved her but I had to be stealthy about it at first or maybe be a little blunt

Yn: Hey Starflight

Starflight: Hi Yn, what's wrong

Yn: Oh nothing I just wanted to check up on you after what you've probably been through j just wanted to see if you are okay

Starflight: yeah

I could tell he wasn't okay due to the sound of his voice, but I also noticed him looking past me and at Sunny

Yn: you know I'm not an expert but I think talking would be better than staring

It took a few seconds for him to catch on to what I meant but when he did the look of shock and confusion on his face almost made me laugh

Starflight: how long have you known

Yn: a while would you like some advice

Starflight: um yeah

Yn: fear what she says and you'll never know if she feels the same way you feel about her until you take your shot

Starflight: wow that was good advice thanks

Yn: no problem now I just have to take my own advice with Leopard 

Starflight: you'll do fine she already likes you, you just have to find out if you feel the same way

Yn: I thought I was supposed to give dating advice, not the other way around

I said with a chuckle h3 also smiled and chuckled which was good it meant he would be more relaxed and it would be easier for him to open up now I just had to get ready for the coming battle so I called the 5 soldiers I brought with me to give them orders specifically the officer and spec ops guy once they had falled in, in front of me I started giving orders luckily we weren't in earshot of anyone who would listen to what I had to say to them but I didn't bark out the orders in case someone was listening

Yn: listen up 'cause I'll only say this once these orders are gonna be weird but I need you to follow them to the letter. Do not shoot any nightwings coming through the tunnel unless they attack someone also aim for the eyes or wings dragon scales have the same density as stone and their bones are as hard as diamonds officer you're with me understood

Soldiers: sir yes sir!

I nodded in approval as told them they were dismissed the officer sticking close to me at least two feet behind me I looked at him

Yn: change out your rounds with tranq rounds once we are on the other side of the tunnel you'll guard it in case the nightwings catch on to the plan and start their attack early

(and I'll stop here. I have a plan for what I'm gonna do with the WOF books I will write a book for each five books for example I will start a new book with a new POV once we enter the Jade Mountain prophecy series of books.
