Rodolfo parra had never been wary of many things, but he had never trusted strangers easily. He had been a sergeant, with Alejandro, the colonel in command, for many months in the war-torn country they were stationed in, and felt an intense protectiveness towards him during that time.

so when Alejandro introduced Phillip a graves, an American with golden blonde hair and bright blue eyes, to the rest of the platoon, Rodolfo had a hard time adjusting. Even though this new combatant had the stature and good looks of some kind of demigod, he didn't seem to fit within their small circle - and Rodolfo wasn't sure if he could be trusted.
