In the days that followed, Phillip noticed a slight shift in Rodolfo's attitude. He didn't seem as cold and the two of them started talking more. With a newfound sense of confidence, Phillip cautiously approached Rodolfo in the training area.
"Rodolfo, I need you to trust me, please," Phillip pled, his voice filled with desperation. "I'm trying everything I can to gain your trust."
Rodolfo stood silently, as if uncertain how to respond. After what seemed like ages. He finally spoke. "I know you're trying," he said, his eyes locking with Phillip's. "I'm willing to give you a chance. I'm not making any promises, but I'll try to trust you."
phillio couldn't believe he was hearing the words he had been looking for the last few days, and with a relieved smile, he said his thanks and set off to do his duties. As he walked away, Phillip felt Rodolfo's gaze on him. He knew that, despite the progress they had made, his journey to gain Rodolfo's trust had just began.
