        You took a seat in the room belonging to Whitebeard "you called?" As you spoke, Whitebeard cast a glance in your direction, accompanied by a subtle smile " about the war in Marineford.. There's a chance that i might die" he said

your eyes widen "don't think like that! You'll make it." you said, he shook his head "not under these circumstances.. but i was one last dying wish that i want you to fulfill" he said

you swallowed thickly "what is it?" you asked

"After my passing, my deepest wish is for you to receive and wield the incredible devil fruit powers that were once bestowed upon me.." He said, you tilt your head slightly "how? it's gonna randomly appear somewhere else around the world," you mumbled

"there's another way my child" he said softly, "huh?"

"yes, but it's a very.. gruesome one, i want you to eat my stomach, so you can inherit the powers.. i want you to inherit before Blackbeard; i know he's after my devil fruit powers too" he said

you cringed slightly "eat your stomach.. what am i — a cannibal and why does he want your devil fruit powers? he already has one it'll only kill him." You said

he shrugged slightly "I don't know why he desires it, but I certainly don't want him to acquire it. You, on the other hand, are the most deserving person to possess my powers. I will instruct you in everything you must know about it.."

you sighed softly "fine — but i don't like the idea of eat your stomach it's sounds gross."

As you walked upon the icy ground, the sound of your footsteps reverberated around you. In your hands, you tightly clutched Luffy's iconic straw hat, a precious gift entrusted to you to be returned to its rightful owner—the raven-black haired male.

You caught sight of the submarine that Buggy claimed he was on, and it was clear that it was about to set sail. As you looked closer, you recognized the familiar face of one of your friends, none other than Trafalgar D. Water Law.

"Hey! law! Wait up!" You yelled and jumped onboard

landing on your two feet bepo ushered the both of you inside "y/n.. it's good to see that you're alive, it's been awhile,"" law said

You smiled sadly "yeah.. how's Luffy and Jimbei?" you asked

he shrugged "don't know haven't started operating yet" As he made his way to the operating room, he spoke while you silently agreed, trailing behind him.

You were seated in the distant corner, gripping onto Luffy's hat. "this one seems to be shot through his stomach and he's barely alive." Law said as he glanced and jimbei

"straw hat-ya is severely injured too but i think there are more problems deep inside."

"Do you need anesthesia?"

"No, they don't. They're both so seriously hurt that they can't feel any pain. They don't have the energy to complain. No matter how drastic the remedy will be. It's gone be a fun operation," law said

You cast a fleeting look at Luffy's motionless figure, gently intertwining your fingers with his "please be okay.. i can't let you die, no matter the cost.." you muttered softly

As you hear the commotion outside, you reluctantly release Luffy's hand and investigate the source.

opening the door you glanced around to see a lot of women "so this is kuja island .. mom told me a lot of stories about this place." you hummed

"What's going on?" you asked law "we gotta stay at the bay" law replied

You nonchalantly shrugged and made your way back inside "whatever"

you sat by law and sighed "i still don't get why I'm treated like I'm one of you." you sneered slightly "it's because you're with us" law replied

You let out a dramatic sigh. "i deserve a large meal.. I've been through a lot—"

You were abruptly interrupted by a scream coming from the submarine-ship, causing you to swiftly stand up.

After a short while, Luffy burst out of the ship and landed on the floor with a rough tumble. "luffy!"

luffy shakily sat up "where's ace?!" he yelled, you flinched slightly.

You witnessed the frenzied chaos as Law's crewmates were tossed around. You anxiously observed from your spot under the tree as they attempted to subdue the unruly Luffy.

As you walked beside Jimbei, you came across Luffy and found yourself gazing at him with a blank expression on your face. "the war is over!" Jimbei said

"Ace is.." jimbei was cut off "don't say it! Don't say anything!" Luffy yelled

"I already pinched myself hard enough to rip my skin! If it were a dream, i should've woken by now!" Luffy exclaimed

"It's not a dream, is it?" He asked, "ace is really dead, isn't he?!" Luffy asked as he sobbed

"Yes luffy, Ace is dead." With a firm voice and a hand tightly clenched, you confronted Luffy, meeting his gaze. Witnessing his tears streaming down, your heart couldn't help but tighten with emotion.
