⁀➷ As you observed, Luffy delivered a powerful punch and forcefully smashed his head against the solid rock. "damn! I'm too weak! I can't save anybody!" he yelled
"Damn! Damn!" He chants over and over as he punches the ground.
"Luffy"Jimbei spoke, "Go away!leave me alone!" Luffy exclaimed "i can't. I can't just watch you hurt yourself anymore." Jimbei said
"It's my own body! It's none of your business!" Luffy yells "then you can't blame ace for doing what he did. His death was not your business!" Said Jimbei
"Shut up, you bastard! I'm gonna beat you if you say another word!"
"Do it if it makes you happy! I'm injured too but I'm not gonna get beaten by you in that condition" said Jimbei as Luffy turned around angrily
As you witnessed Luffy charging towards Jimbei, you swiftly positioned yourself in front of Jimbei and decisively intercepted Luffy's outstretched hand. With a forceful motion, you forcefully slammed him down onto his back.
"I'll take it from here Jimbei." You spoke as you stared down at Luffy, Jimbei sighed softly and nods.
You kept your eyes fixed on him as he began to rise once more. you firmly planted your feet on his bandaged chest, exerting some of your body weight onto him.
"Beating yourself up won't bring ace back; there's no point in that! you can't prevent the inevitable; you tried your outmost best even when your opponents were stronger than you. Losing yourself to guilt won't do you any good." you said as Luffy struggled under your hold
"I know that it's painful now, Luffy, but you have to bottle up those feelings! Don't just think about the ones you've lost! You can't get back what you've lost! What is it that you still have?!" you continued
you felt him stop struggling beneath you and his eyes widen slightly, he gritted his teeth
"I still have.. i still have my friends!" he said as tears weld up in his eyes, "zoro! nami! usopp! sanji! chopper! robin! franky! brook! they're my friends!"
You tilted your head and gently lifted your feet, revealing a subtle smile directed towards him. "i see"
"i have to meet them on the ship. I gotta go! It took a while but... i know that they're waiting for me!" he said as he sat up
"I wanna see them now... i wanna see them!!" he sobbed
