It has been 2 hours since Mom has been in the hospital. No one knows what happened except her.

I can't lose my mom. I can't she's the only family I have. Losing her will be the end of me.

Marcus, Xander, and I were sitting by the waiting room.

"Delilah we came as soon as we heard." Josie ran up to me. She gave me a hug and Jordy joined in.

Felix and Axel hugged me and sat next to Xander.

Having their support here is something I thought I would never have. They have been the best people ever.

We were all getting impatient since the doctors were coming to tell us anything.

Marcus then stood up and went to get a doctor.

Marcus and the doctor came towards us. The doctor's face looked worried.

This doesn't look good at all.

"Hey everyone. Update on Mrs Martinez, She's okay for now. We are doing scans on her vitals." Everyone became at ease. The doctor continued. "She was injured very badly but there won't be any need for surgery. I think it's best you report this to the police cause this was an accident whoever did this had intentions."

I wanted to cry again. Who would want to hurt my mom, It can be my dad since his in jail so who? I can't lose my mom not again.

"We will contact you when she wakes up. Everyone, please get some rest." The doctor says walking away.

I just sit there in silence. I don't know what to do or say. I don't want to be here anymore I just miss my mom.

"Delilah you will stay with me whilst your mom is here. I just want you near me where you are safe." Marcus implies.

I nodded. It's the best thing he can do.

Everyone gets up. Josie and Jordan hug me bye as they leave. Axel and Felix also head out.

I looked at Xander who was already staring, it was like he was hurting himself. His eyes were watery.

He needs a hug. I went up to him and signaled him to get up and I hugged him. I tightened the hug.

"You know you are not alone and you have me, "I say to him.

We both broke the hug at the same time. I escorted Xander to his car.

"Text me when you get home and thank you for today," I say to him.

"No problem."

I smiled at him and walked to Marcus's car. I got inside the passenger side and Marcus drove off.

"He cares a lot about you," Marcus says.

I look at him in confusion.

"Take care of him, Delilah, his a great guy."

I don't know what to say so I look out the window. The sky was dark like there weren't any stars. It's like the world sensed the energy I have right now.

I just pray my mom is okay. I can't even think straight without her near me. I miss her so much.

We reach Marcus's place. Marcus stayed in a big house but it also looked homey. He was rich.

"You stay here alone?" I ask getting out of the car.

"Not really, I always have family over the weekends."

"That's cool."

We entered the house and it was beautiful. The interior was modern but had a homey feeling. It was just immaculate.
