"Athena, punta na tayo sa broadcasting room."
It has been a week since Zaiden gave me the time that I wanted. Hindi na rin sya nagtetext sa akin. Pero ako din naman ang nagsabi sa kanya na hindi ako itext. I'm now regretting my decision to have a week break. Namimiss ko na sya.
"Alright, susunod ako."
Papunta na ako ng broadcasting room ngayon dahil mag-eensayo kami ng team ko para sa NSPC. Meron nalang kaming two weeks para mag-ensayo para sa competition at cramming talaga kami. I was one of the TV broadcasters for the English category. Iba din kasi yung sa Filipino. Palagi kaming umuuwi nang late dahil sa practice namin.
"Athena, you did great. I like the projection of your voice. Keep it up." sabi nung teacher na coach din namin.
"Thank you po." nginitian nya ako.
"Okay then, let's have a break muna. Balik kayo after lunch." sabi ng coach namin bago tuluyang lumabas ng broadcasting room.
"Athena, sabay na tayo mag lunch." pag-aaya sa akin ni Yena, kasamahan ko sa tv broad. I was contemplating whether I should join them or have lunch by myself kasi busy din sila Santi at Aya sa kanilang mga categories. Yeah, kasali din sila sa NSPC. Santi's for news writing and Aya's for editorial cartooning. Gusto ko sanang mag lunch nang mag-isa para makapractice din ako sa script but I guess, mas maganda din naman kapag by team kaming magprapractice.
"Sure, I'll just go get my things." sabi ko sa kanila at sumunod agad.
"So for this part, si Athena ang naka assign dito. It will be followed by Trixie and then Dexter." saad ni Dean, our leader. Agad namin sinunod iyon at nagsimula na sa pagprapractice. It went good. May minimal mistakes pero kinocorrect naman din namin. I was lucky to have them as my team.
"Okay guys, enough na siguro iyon. Bumalik na tayo sa broadcasting room dahil baka naghihintay na si Mrs. Gomez."
We spent the whole afternoon in the broadcasting room. Grabe, nakakapagod pala. Mrs. Gomez was very particular about our performance. Lahat nalang ata ang pinopoint out nya. The tone of the voice, the expression of the face, the mannerisms, and even the posture. She was very particular. Pero alam din naman namin na para sa amin lang din naman ang ginawa nya kaya we were beyond grateful that she was very dedicated to guiding us for the competition. It is just fair if we also do our best.
"Alright, good job everyone. Pahinga na kayo and see you tomorrow. Don't forget to not drink cold water kasi baka mapaos ang boses nyo." Paalala ni Mrs. Gomez sa amin.
"Yes, ma'am"
Nagsiuwian na ang mga kasamahan kong TV broadcasters at ako naman ay papauwi na rin. Right. Magkikita pa pala kami nina Santi at Aya ngayon. Ililibre kasi kami ni Aya ng dinner ngayon. Which is new kasi nanglilibre lang si Aya ng dinner kapag may magandang nangyari sa araw nya. Ano kaya yun? Na curious tuloy ako. Nawala ang mga iniisip ko nang tumunog ang phone ko. Nag message pala si Aya sa gc.
