"I've found you worthy of my greatest cure. Consider it an honor." Mard Geer says feeling proud that he had finished us. Or so he thought.
His eyes widened when a hand popped up from the ground. Once the smoke cleared, Gray had his arm up in the air.
Once I opened my eyes, they shook when I saw that half of Gray's side darkened.
"Your skin," Natsu mutters seeing it too.
"This can't be." Mard Geer mumbles in disbelief that we survived his ultimate curse.
"Gray?" I spoke softly almost terrified as he growled demonically.
"He's morphed into a half-demon." Mard Geer said. "Is this Silver's power? Did that traitorous corpse somehow manage to counter my ultimate cruse?"
Gray grunts stumbling over. "Uh...Hey Natsu. I know I... talk crap... But I've got faith in you. I always have. You gotta keep her safe." He hits the ground with a thud. "If anyone can beat him, it's you."
"Gray!" I ignored my pain and went to his aid. Natsu stared at him in disbelief. I conjured up all the strength I had left to heal him. That's the first time I ever heard Gray compliment Natsu on something.
"Hang in there," Natsu said.

"Once I've slain you, the mongrel and the half-demon are next!" Mard Geer glares powering up into his demon form.
"Gray and Shana are not demons!" Natsu shouts causing me to gasp. "He's a human being! Just like Shana!" Scales started to appear on Natsu's face. He punches Mard Geer back.
I let out another gasp. We were barely able to land any hits before how's Natsu just now able to?
"Where did you obtain so much power?" Mard Geer was confused as to how Natsu was getting stronger.
Natsu grunts using one of the rocks to leap into the air and kick Mard Geer in the face. "Could this be your Dragon Force?" Mard Geer asked balancing himself.
"Igneel-Style Dragon Slayer Secret Art!" Natsu shouts as his body glows. "Hidden Fire Form! Flame Lotus Phoenix Sword!" He made a direct impact on Mard Geer's stomach.
I watched the scene breath taken. 'Natsu's using Dragon Force... but how did he manage to tap into it?'
Mard Geer yells getting himself up. Natsu falls from over using his power which causes Mard Geer to grab him.
"Natsu!" I shout hoping he'd snapped out of it.
"Once I've vented all my rage, you won't have a corpse to bury!"
"That was all the magic I had. And you beat it. Not too bad, for a demon." Natsu mutters with one eye closed
"Be gone!" Mard Geer yells.
"Thing is... I have faith, too."
Mard Geer gasped once he saw Gray back on his feet.
"Gray, Shana, now!" Natsu shouts.
Gray creates a bow and arrow from his ice as he fires it, I go into Flame Haze mode to summon my wings. "Ice Demon... Zero Destruction Bow!" The arrow makes contact with Mard Geer causing him to let go of Natsu.
I used all the remaining strength I had left to catch him in mid-air so he would crash onto the ground. "I got you!"
"Thanks." He mutters.
Once I landed safely back down with Natsu the weird dark making on Gray's skin vanished. "We did it." Natsu sighs in relief seeing Mard Geer's unconscious body on the ground.
"No. Not yet we haven't." Gray said. "This ain't over until I've destroyed E.N.D."
I gasped. "Right, I forgot," Natsu said as I helped him sit up. "Listen, Gray, I was actually supposed to get ahold of that book for Igneel."
My eyes widened when Gray held the book in his hand. "Sorry, but you're not gettin' it." He simply said.
"Why do you need it?" Alastor asked.
Natsu groans. "Stop screwin' around. Hand it over." He argues. I sigh, I really hope these two don't start picking up a fight.
"I'm serious, Natsu, I'm not lettin' go," Gray said with a serious expression. "I've got Tartaro's master in this thing. From what they say, he's the most powerful demon out of any of Zeref's books. This might be the only chance we'll ever get to erase him."
"All I know is I made Igneel a promise. Now gimmie the book." Natsu glares at him.
"I don't think so." Gray refused to hand it over.
"This is no time for you to be arguing!" Alastor scolded them for me.
Out of nowhere, a rumbling began. "What now?" I asked annoyed. I thought we were done with all this crap.
"Wait," Alastor asked uneasily.
"Could this be.. the Faces?" Natsu asked. I totally forgot about that part. There's supposed to be thousands of those fuckers.
"You do realize... that this is only the beginning." Mard Geer muttered still lying on the ground.
We gasped.
"Once all of your beloved magic has been rendered obsolete, the seal that binds my master will finally break. The moment when the mightiest of Therious has been restored, you're species will find itself devoid of both magic and any means opposing us. "
"No, damnit, no!" Natsu shouts refusing to believe that magic will soon be gone.
We gasped when Acnologia landed right in front of us. "It's Acnologia!" Gray said shocked to see the dragon defeated.
Igneel and Amphitrite put their claws on him so he couldn't move. "We haven't lost yet, humans. Do not despair!" Igneel shouts.
"Mom!" I muttered.
"It's alright, dear." She smiles at me
"My kindred are free at last," Igneel said. "We soar through the skies of Ishgar once again!" He roars as all the other dragons work together to destroy the Face for us.
"Incredible!" Natsu smiles hearing the other dragons.
