27. Alone People

Louisa's p.o.v

Bolin softly smiles before looking down saying "I only have a few memories, Mako has a scarf that used to be our dad's." I side smile at this saying "I have a few memories too, my bro was the one to see ours die in the hospital. I also have something else.." I stand up and walk to my room before grabbing my turtle-duck. Walking back out I smile at Bolin saying "I also have this, my mom got it for me since she knows I love stuffed animals." He smiles at this and I sit down by him saying "it was so sweet... I was young when they passed, so I have little to no memories."

He puts his arm around me saying "well, at least we know someone we can talk to if we think about our parents too much. Our big bro has been here for us since and might as well be a parent along with having fun like a sibling." I smile at this and lean into his hold saying "yeah... I've thought of that at times too. I just don't like that I worry him so much" we sit here in silence before I look at the time "you should get going. It's getting late" "I'll call you soon, okay?" Bolin asks as he stands up, so I stand up too and nod.

"Alright" "bye, Louisa" he says before softly kissing me, my eyes widen as he walks out without saying anything, I side smile at this. 'Oh, he's so gonna be the death of me for moments like that' I think as I go to my room and lay on my bed.

-the next day-

Someone's softly shaking me, so I groan as I try to wave them off "you might want to hear this" Cho says as I sit up. Yawning I nod saying "what's up?.." "Korra quit that task force Torrlak had her on" he informs me. My eyes shoot wide open at this "what?" "I don't know, that's just what Mako called me in with this morning. I'll see you later, I have to get to work now" Cho says again as he walks out of my room. With that I look at the time and groan as I see it's too early out to stay awake, so I just lay back down.

-short time skip-

It's a bit snowy outside, I shiver a bit as I tread through the snow, but I'm not going to ditch on Bolin after I said I'd show up. The walk was really cold as I eventually got to the arena, going in I get to the training room. Looks like I'm late to watch them fully practice since they've already started, Bolin got hit with Mako's fire. My eyes widen as I see this, but he still did one more hit towards Korra with the a disk. Korra threw a splash of water before getting hit with the disk, so the last one standing is Mako.

He got hit right in the face with water, so I see them all on the floor as they laugh a bit - I join in too since that was funny to see. "It's been great having you at so many back-to-back practices, Korra" Mako says as he takes off his helmet. Korra takes off hers as she says "feels good to be back, although Tarrlock isn't too happy about my leave of absence." I stand by Bolin as I say "hey, you joined the Fire Ferrets before you joined his task force." Bolin nods saying "yeah!-" then he realized I'm here and hugs me tight "Louisa! Glad you could make it."

I smile and laugh a bit at this, but Mako says "okay, come on; team huddle time!" They huddle up, having their arms on the other's shoulders. Bolin looks at me from over Korra's shoulders with a smile, so I softly chuckle, Korra looked a bit awkward. Though she looks at Mako with the same smile- 'oh my.. she likes Mako!' I think in shock at this. Mako took a second to talk as he says "um... it's our first match of the tournament tonight. I know the three of us haven't been a team for very long, but even so - the Fire Ferrets have never been this good."

Then he adds "are we ready?" "We're ready!" Korra and Bolin answer out determined, but I just say "you're not kidding, you guys are great. From what my brother told me; that last guy sucked, and you guys have gotten better with Korra." Footsteps got my attention as Asami spoke up saying "not quite" we look over to see her. She's holding up a piece of fabric saying "you'll need these" I smile at the sight "ah, nice! Team uniforms." Mako makes his way over to her saying "hey, Asami" she then responds with "good morning, sweetie."

She sounds so sweet, Mako held up the shirt part as he says "these new uniforms look great!" Then he looks at Asami. "You look great, champ" she says before they rub noses together, I groan a bit in disgust like Korra. It's always so weird to see someone doing that - kissing, sure.. but rubbing noses?.. nope. Mako looks back saying "well, teammates.. and Louisa, I'll see you before the match tonight. Asami and I have a lunch date" Bolin waves as he says "okay, we'll check you guys later, we'll see you when we see you."

Korra grabs her bag as Bolin pulls me over to Korra saying "so.. Korra, there they go - here we are" he says a bit nervously. I side smile at this 'he's wanting to get to know the Avatar more, but doesn't want it to be too awkward. He's talked to me over the phone about it for so long since they've been training together for the team. It's sweet, but I think he's making it sound like he wants to take her out on a date from how nervous he is.' "All alone in the gym; just you, me and Louisa... three, alone people - together" Bolin kept talking.
