Broken lies

Chapter 8

Third pov
Everyone got quiet when they realized she was sleeping and Malachi went to go grab her off of Zion because he knew although he doesn't mind her touching him it was a lot of contact for someone who doesn't like being touched

But Zion just held onto her and told him he was fine he sat back down and they all started talking about what her life was like before getting here he brought down her file and handed it to his father so his father can look over it himself

His father just looked at her while sleeping in Zions lap and spoke to Zion "she looks very much like you like a carbon copy" Zion nodded at his grandfather and stood up with Maci in his arms and brought her to his room

He put her on a side of the bed and went to go shower when he came back he seen the cat he seen before laying on her face and went to remove him but he just went back so he got into the bed and pulled her closer to him so the cat wouldn't suffocate her

As soon as he pulled her closer she dug her head into his chest and let out a sigh with that he went to sleep and woke up twice because her cat was on his face he got up and put the cat outside the room and went back to bed

The next morning

Maci's pov
I was sooooo a warm and cosy I don't think I ever had a sleep as good as that I looked over and seen I was being held by Zion still but I had to pee so I removed his arms and went to the bathroom

Surprisingly Bread didn't follow me but I ignored it I took a quick shower and went out of the room and seen Zion had a bag of clothes so I took a shirt and a pair of boxers from his bag and got dressed

As soon as she was dressed she looked around the room and under the bed for bread but couldn't see him she opened the door and started checking around the halls for him and after a hour she started to panic

She ran into the dining room and cried "hav..ee you see..n Bread" her uncle stood up and told her bread was in the kitchen and starting walking to the kitchen while holding her shoulder

He leaned over the counter and grabbed the bag of bread and told her "see no need to be upset bread is right here do you want me to make you a slice" she cried more and told him

"No my kitten bread" he was confused until he remembered I her file it said she was brought in with a cat so he assumed he named the thing bread and that's why she was crying about

She sat down on the floor and starting crying louder and everyone rushed into the kitchen to see if she was hurt but as soon as they got there she started wailing louder "BREADDDDD BRE...ADDD PLEASE I NEED YOU DONT LEAVE ME"

Her papa ran over to her while the others who thought she was crying about actual bread look on thinking she's going through mood swings when suddenly she heard a meow

She stopped crying and rubbed her eyes searching for him and as soon as she sooted him she scooped him up in her arms and starting ranting to him that he can't leave her she"d die if he was gone

Zion looked guilty if he just left the cat alone to sleep on his face she wouldn't be having this reaction right now while everyone was still surprised she named a cat bread

Her grandpa walked over and picked the two of them up and brought her to the living room she sat on him while he rubbed her back she sat crying for 20 minutes before it turned into sniffling than she completely calmed down

She sat on her grandpa's lap and calmed down just talking with bread while her grandpa rubbed her back her papa left the two of them alone and started on breakfast with his mother

After breakfast was done being made grandpa brought her to the dining room and sat her in a chair she looked to see one of her cousins siting next to her and smiled at him

He looked at her than her lap to see bread the cat just siting there watching him

Maria set a plate of eggs bacon and pancakes in front of Maci and Maci again started ripping pieces up and feeding them to bread

Leon made a sound with his throat and she lifted her head to look at him confused until he pointed at her food than at her she just shrunk back into her seat

It was a normal thing for her to feed bread before she ate she was his mama and you feed your babies before you ate that's how she raised him

Maria walked back into the dining room with chicken and cat food mixed together on the little bowl from yesterday

Bread got off of her lap and she watched him walk over to the dish and start eating his food she was a bit sad because he liked eating with her and they were making it seem like she wasn't aloud to give him some of her food
