Chapter 12

Marci pov
Before I could get out the car Zion held me back and told me "you don't leave my side tonight I dislike these things with a passion" i noddle my head at him and with that we left the car

The place we were entering was sooooo big and i seen so many people just from walking out the car so I knew there was going to be a lot inside to I gripped Zion's hand tighter and let bread go on the floor

When we got inside everyone's eyes turned to me but I just kept my eyes ahead of me I didn't want to meet new people right now especially ones that look so scary

Papa walked up to a stage as soon as we came in and greeted everyone "Good evening and thank you for coming to the new reign of my son Leon Rossi who will be taking over tonight to be the new capo of the Rossi name"

I smiled listening him talk so proudly of Leon and all my family smiled at him well just the woman but than papa called me over

I looked at Zion thinking he was calling him but he pointed at me I walked to the middle of the stage to papa and he put his arm around my back and announced

"And other news tonight This is my daughter Monique Rossi the Rossi princess" I was really shy so I stepped closer into his embrace and looked up to hear clapping

I smiled at everyone here than left the stage to go back to Zion's side he put his arm back on my shoulders and papa finished speaking and told everyone to enjoy there night tonight

We walked to a table and food and water were brought to us after siting and eating for a few hours I really needed to pee so I told Zion and right when he was getting up to follow me a woman walked over

She was really pretty and hair such long hair she started talking with Zion and I waited for them to finish but after standing for more than 10 minutes listening to them talk I really had to go to the bathroom

So I took breads leash and left his side entering the bathroom I seen three girls and they were all standing around the sink holding a little piece of paper

Me being curious walked over and looked at there hands to see some greenish stuff in the little paper I didn't know what it was but was happy to have conversations with girls around my age

We talked for a little bit and they finished rolling the paper and asked me if I wanted any since they were all doing it I was okay to try it too so I took the lighten up paper and held it to my mouth like they did

Biggg mistake I coughed really bad that my ribs started hurting but they just laughed after I stopped coughing one of the girls said lets go get drinks

I needed a drink my mouth felt dry and my head felt fuzzy so a drink would probably help we all left the bathroom and went over to the drink bar the man behind the bar smiled at me and asked what I wanted

But before I could answer one of the girls said I would have something called vodka cranberry I had cranberry juice recently and it was really good I didn't know what vodka was but it sounded good so I said yes

As soon as I started drinking it I noticed the taste was bitter than normal cranberry juice I didn't really like it but didn't want to be rude so I took my straw and just finished the whole thing

I watched the man behind the bar make a pink slushy drink for someone and it looked really good and I wanted to drink that instead so when he came back over I asked

"Um excuse me sir do you think I could also have one of those that you just made" he nodded and started making me one

I listened to all the voices around me suddenly quiet down but didn't bother to turn around my new drink was placed infront of me and I took a sip it was wayyy sweeter than the last one and I like the cold feeling on my throat

I heard voices start to start up again and turned around to see a chest right in my face so I looked up and seen it was a man he took a seat beside me and didn't say a word

Me feeling less shy decided to start up a conversation "Hi I'm Monique but everyone just calls me Marci or Maci either one is fine" he turned to face me and nodded but still didn't say a word

I picked up bread and introduced him as well the man chucked and said " Nice to meet you both doll whose family do you belong to" I smiled at him and told him about my family and he nodded but didn't say anymore

The man behind the bar placed a dark drink infront of him and left he looked at his drink and took a sip I wanted to try the new drink to so when he placed it down I picked up his cup and took a big sip myself

As soon as it went down my throat I coughed he patted my back and laughed and I poured at him before saying "I don't like this drink very much"

He just laughed more but soon was interrupted when a hand made contact with my back I turned to see Zion making direct eye contact with the man next to me

"Zion this is my new friends I don't know..." but I was cut off by Zion before I could finish " Sasha Volcov" the man whose name I now learned is Sasha nodded at Zion

Zion was about to say more before he looked at the pink drink in my hand and took it as soon as he took a sip out of it he reached over the bar and asked the other man "Why didn't you make it a virgin drink"

I wanted my drink back so I went to go reach for it again before my hand was grabbed by Sasha and he said "No more doll" I frowned and stood up but as soon as I went to my feet my head felt even more dizzy than it did when I was in the bathroom

I tried to steady myself when suddenly the lights at the ball went out and a scream was heard
