Dear Wendy,
Today, I only said 10 decades of the rosary and didn't eat dinner. That's a good thing right? It means mom must have been happy when I played 'Dance of the little swans' for her on the piano that daddy Jordan got for me. I'm really really hungry right now, but I heard that there are people that don't even eat at all for weeks! Mom said I should be appreciative.
New word: appreciate
Meaning: to be thankful, grateful, filled with gratitude.Excerpt: 6 yrs old Jin's diary.

When I was sure that Jayden was gone, I stood up and started to walk home. It took a while and felt longer than usual. Maybe because I was going alone and at night.
Finally getting to my house, I opened the front door as noiselessly as possible and got in. I passed the kitchen knowing there would be nothing there for me. And I didn't even have the appetite to fix up anything for myself.
I went to my parents' room door and knocked softly. ''I'm home.'' I said silently before passing it while holding my breath in hopes that mother wouldn't come out.
I successfully got to my room without encountering her making me let out the breath I was holding. Removing the eyepatch covering my right eye, I entered the en suite and had my bath. When I was done, I opened my closet and dressed up in my PJ's.
I sat on my bed and braided my hair into a loose braid so it wouldn't get in my way while I sleep. Suddenly, my phone which I had placed under my pillow began to ring.
My heart went on panic mode. It's Him! It's Him! He's found you! Intrude chorused behind me.
My hands shook as I pulled my phone out from under my pillow and read the name. 'Dad'. My sigh of relief was so heavy, I fell on the hard bed. It wasn't him. I was still safe. Of course Jordan's the one giving me a heart attack at night.
I picked the call and brought the phone to my ear. ''How did you like my surprise?'' He said cheerily into the phone.
I felt my residue fears melt slowly from his voice. ''It was... good. Really good.'' I responded. ''I couldn't guess this one. It's your best surprise yet.''
He laughed. ''I knew you'd like it.'' He paused his voice suddenly getting serious. "You know he won't hurt you, right? He's not like those boys. I watched him grow up as much as I watched you." He said.
He knows me so well. He knew I'd be paranoid about him.
" I don't... doubt it. It's just a little difficult. We talked about the accident. I told him I know it was mother that separated us." I laughed a little. "He was so surprised."
"He still hates her. And I never told him you'd finally joined our haters club." He let out a breath. "Just try to give him a chance. It'll be nice for you to have friends your age. His friends are good kids too."
I wrinkled my face at the last part. "You mean Aksel?" I muttered and he laughed at the distaste in my voice. "He's a good guy too. Just a bit of a perfectionist." He paused for a bit. "In truth, I thought you two in particular would make really good friends since you both..." He trailed off.
He remembers him from my past! But we'd made an agreement that he'd let recall my memories myself, so I had to confirm it alone.
"Well, if he's a perfectionist, he'd want nothing to do with me." I stated making him laugh.
"You two will get along just fine." He reassured me. ''Anyway, I got a gift for you.'' I could practically hear the smile in his voice which didn't exactly make me excited.
