I made breakfast for her in the morning. Pancakes. We seem to be having a break at the moment. These last couple of weeks have been hectic.
"Thanks for looking after me Haru." I smiled. "No prob---"
The home phone was ringing. "Who could be calling in this time of day?" Misaki looked scared."What's wrong?" i asked with concern. "Nothing... I'll answer it." Her voice sounded dull as she walked to the phone.
Her hand was shaking as she touched it. I walked over then placed my hand on hers to tell her i'm here. I let go and she answered it.
"Hello." Dropping the phone, she froze. Whilst looking at me, she ran into my arms and started crying.
I place my hand on the back of her head as she cried on my chest. "Misaki... What happened?" She looked up at me and said,"My mum... she's gone."
I realised she told me this before when her mum got sick. "How did this happen?" Maybe it's not the best time to ask.
Sitting down on the couch, I pulled her head closer. "Haru...Can you promise me something?" I nodded. "Never leave me."
"I promise."
