Why do I need saving???

Chapter 43

Shoto Pov:

I went to walk towards the pick up area waiting for our driver to pick me up. As I was waiting I feel a buzz come from my phone. Taking it out I look to see who it's from and see the name I wanted it to be the least.

Endeavor:
Why weren't you at the house the other day.

I didn't want to reply but I know that it would make him even angrier. So I typed out a reply.

Shoto:
I'm sorry father.

Endeavor:
How many times have I told you Shoto I'm sorry is not an explanation.

You're in for extra training when you get home. You're also going to be walking.

I'll know if you take a bus or train. If you're not back within the next hour you won't be the only one to pay for this behaviour.

My heart stopped I knew exactly what that last sentence meant if I wasn't back Fuyumi would have to pay the price for my own faults. I start running home. Walking normally takes an hour and a half so if I run the whole time I should make it in an hour or less.

I ran and ran and ran. No matter how tired I was I kept going until I could see the gate of my house and there on the front steps phone in hand was Endeavor sitting there.

"Pathetic Shoto. It took you the full hour to get here. If this were a villain attack that failure would've been dead by now." He said as he got closer. He grabbed my arm and started dragging me to the training room. "Now Shoto you have some explaining to do. First why did you come second on your quirk assessment. Second why didn't you come home at all that day. And third why did you take the whole hour to get home just now." With each and every word he said he kept hitting and kicking me. It would gradually get harder and harder. This kept going until I felt myself slip out of consciousness.

When I woke up I saw Fuyumi she was there worry clear on her face and she had a bruise on her cheek. I felt bad ot was my fault Endeavor did that. I did something bad so why was Fuyumi punished for it? "I'm sorry" we had both said it at the same time. She looked at me in shock. "Why do you apologize when you have done nothing wrong?" I asked her. "I heard everything that happened but I did nothing to stop it. Why are you apologising you're the one who just got beat." I looked at her "This is all my fault I keep making Endeavor mad and so you can't have the family you always wanted. And I wasn't fast enough or strong enough so he hit you." She looked at me with some emotion I couldn't place "Oh Shoto. This is not your fault I promise." Get some rest I'll see you in the morning." And with that she left.

I laid back down and didn't even realise I was back in my room till now. She must've brought me here after look at the time on my phone and its been 8 hours. I wonder how much of that time I spent asleep. And with that thought I slowly feel my mind drift away.
