Chapter five

"Wha?" Let out the little girl as she couldn't feed herself for some reason. It's been a few weeks after her birthday now and Hitomi started to learn new things. Things like singing, eating by herself and going to the toilette, which was the easiest part of all.

Though eating was kind of harder since she couldn't grab her spoon properly and instead smeared it all over her face. And this was the third time, it hasn't been 3 minutes and she already wasted this much putting!

She was getting frustrated but didn't want to cry. Instead she tried to handle things like the people feeding her usually would. She grabbed the spoon, liked the remaining food off and then as best as she could started to shove the putting from her cheek onto it.

And it did work... just that Hitomi was still frustrated. So now the men who was feeding her currently grabbed a handkerchief and rubbed it off her cheek.

"There you go! Don't try too hard, you still have time Hitomi-chan!" The men said with cheerful smile on his face as Hitomi only breathed a heavy sigh. "But Hitomi big now! Oter persons Hitomi awe can eat alone! So why don't Hitomi can?" (But Hitomi's big now! Other people Hitomi's age can eat alone! O why can't Hitomi ?)

She pouted as the men only chuckled again. "Yes you're right ! You're a big girl now, but that doesn't mean you need to be that quick right?" His question left Hitomi to think as he started to feed her which she mindlessly accepted.

After eating she was changed into a simple brownish ruffled dress with her hair tied back by a bow.  It was Hitomi who requested the bow since she wanted to go out again and practice singing random lyrics she came up with in the garden.

Once there she started to sing. "La la la ~ no rainy day today and dat's okay- cause everyone loves sunny day!" And as she continued some animals gathered around. They felt hypnotist by the gentle yet childish voice.

When her first song finished, Hitomi's eyes sparkled brighter than ever at the birds, mice, butterflies and her very best friends , chompers and Aoi. Her eyes softened and her soft smile made the snake come over with the teddy bear in tow.

"Chompers like Hitomi's sing? " she questioned which earned her a happy hiss. Strangely the two started to understand each other as their bond grew. By now multiple animals already left though some like a few birds and insects stayed, still in a trance.

"Les go home!" She told the snake as it slithered up to the little girl. The home she mentioned was the bush that Chompers resided within, it became something like their secret hideout where they would spend most of the afternoons before bedtime.

The black mamba had made a great choice of owner and felt more and more content to watch it's little human grow up. But it knew that it should start training the little girl a bit... so he didn't have to worry of protecting his master in the future.

But for now he still left Hitomi be.

"Choppy, what a gweat day today! Les have some t-t-te-te-a... tea!" Hitomi started to play just like the other children would, at least she watched them playing tea party, what ever it might be. Hitomi liked the way their words sounded like and she tried imitating them with a dumbfounded chompers and a dirty looking Aoi sitting right inside where he curled up.

"We wi- want to obey no kin-dingwong? Nuu~ we wi-will obey no ki-kin-king-kingwong- dong-dong...? Ugh... we will obey no kingdom!" Finally little Hitomi got it right as chompers let out a confused hiss. " It wha the oter kids said!" Explained Hitomi while laughing.

After another hour Hitomi slowly had to go back again as she was quick to say good night to her pals, leaving soon after and jumping right into the arms of todays nanny, just right on time for her bath before going to bed...
