Gus POV 

Everyone had recently been thrown into the human realm and Gus, well he was trying to hold his emotions in. He couldn't sleep that night, whenever he tried he would think about what he had seen in Belos' mind before being thrown into the portal. He looked at Hunter and felt sorrow fill him. 

Does Hunter know he's a Grimwalker? Probably. He knew Belos would kill him and replace him which is why he ran. He probably doesn't know who he's a clone of though.

Gus sat up, trying not to cry as he got out of bed. Maybe a glass of water would help clear his head so he could get some sleep.  He walked into the kitchen and flipped on a light. He grabbed a glass and filled it up with the clear liquid, then he went outside on the porch to get some air while he sipped from the cup. 

I can't hold this in anymore. It's too much. It's too much. It's too much. It's too much. I can't hold this in anymore.

He suddenly broke down in tears, finally not holding back anymore. He curled up into a ball burying his face into his knees to muffle the tears. He missed his dad and being thrown into this new world unexpectedly was weighing him down. He had dreamed about coming to the human realm, but not like this. This was too much. 

Suddenly Gus felt a hand on his shoulder. 

"Gus? Are you ok?" Gus looked up to see Luz sitting down next to him. 

"Y-Yeah I'm F-Fine..." He replied not looking at her. Luz knew something was wrong and she gave him a hug. 

"Hey... Its gonna be ok... We gotta make it back somehow." Luz said pulling him in for a tighter hug. "Can you tell me what's weighing you down? Talking to people about it will help you feel better... I promise I won't tell anyone else."

Gus took a deep breath. "Well I miss my dad and... Well... The other thing isn't mine to tell..." 

"What do you mean?" 

"I found out something about someone by accident and it's just making me anxious..." Gus said wiping away his tears. 

Luz looked at Gus and recognized the expression on his face, it was the same one of sorrow and pain as when she had found out. 

"You know. Don't you. You know that Hunter is a..." Luz stopped herself before she said it, because if she was wrong she would be betraying Hunter. Gus looked up at her and then back at his feet. 

"That Hunter is a g-grimwalker..." He finished for Luz. "I-I-I- i-in the s-skull I-I-I s-saw s-some s-stuff in B-Belos' M-Mind... T-Terrible s-stuff... I-It was t-terrible L-Luz t-terrible!" Gus said breaking down into tears. 

Luz gave him a warm hug and started crying with him. "I-I k-know Gus, I-I k-know..." 

Gus started shivering from the cold rain and Luz picked him up, bringing him back inside and sitting him on the couch. Gus clung onto Luz and they both cried together. 

"H-Hunters g-gone t-through s-so m-much already... a-and t-then t-this! I-If B-Belos w-wasn't a-already d-dead I w-would... I would!" Gus said frustrated for Hunter. Gus couldn't imagine what it would be like to find out if your whole life was a lie. 

"Oh trust me I was ready to do that ages ago." Luz said. Suddenly the clock chimed midnight making Luz and Gus jump up startled. "Wow it's getting late. We better get back to bed, I'll talk to you more in the morning. Ok Gus?" Luz said standing up. Gus nodded and also stood up, then he walked over to the stairs. 

"Oh and Gus? Please don't blaim yourself for what Belos did to Hunter ok? Its not your fault, you could have never stopped it." Then Luz walked upstairs. Gus smiled and went back to the couch he had been sleeping on downstairs. He slowly fell asleep, feeling a tiny bit better.
