Masha already knows that Vee is a basilisk
Masha POV
Masha had been trying to figure out how to ask Vee to prom for days, and they just couldn't get their courage up to do it.
I mean Vee is so cool! How da heck am I supposed to ask someone that cool out when I'm just a boring old human! Arg I just- Vee is too cool for me. I should just give up- she's probably found someone else she likes and I doubt its me- but what if she hasn't?- Don't think like that Masha, you know how cool she is and someone that cool would have found someone already and you know it ain't you-
While Masha was fighting in their head of wether Vee would want to go out with them, someone had come up from behind them.
"BOO!" Vee yelled and Masha jumped at least fifteen feet in the air.
"AHHHHHH!" Then Masha saw it was Vee. "HEY! Thats mean." Masha put on a fake sad face making Vee laugh.
"I got you sooooo bad!" Vee cackled rolling on the ground with laughter. Masha looked at her and knew they weren't good enough for this amazing girl.
"Umm Vee?" Masha said. "Can I ask you a question?"
"Sure! What's up!" Vee said giving Masha her undivided attention. Masha sat on the ground across from Vee and put their face in their hands.
"Why do you hangout with a loser like me?" Masha asked, not looking at Vee. Vee immediately gave Masha a hug.
"Because you aren't a loser! An-And I love you." Vee said making Masha look up in suprise.
"You l-love me?"
"Yes. Very much Masha."
"I-I-I love you too." Masha said smiling.
"Well if we share the same feelings... Do you want to go out with me!" Asked Vee excitedly.
"YES!!" Masha said, making passers by look at the two teens weirdly.
They both looked at eachother and smiled, then Vee said, "Don't put yourself down Masha, you are amazing and if we're talking about whos the loser here it's cleary me."
"No you're not! You're so cool Vee! I'm surprised you even hangout with people like me."
"Na your the cool one!"
"No you are!"
The argument continued like that until they got to the ice cream shop, where they had their first date.
