I woke up at nakita ko yung message ni Devon,
"Oh hey Soren, 'di ko napansin chat mo kanina."
"I saw your message. Tbh, di ako maalam sa mga ganyan e. But in what I see, you're interested sa kanya, crush mo na sya. But I don't think you like her romantically. ", "About naman sa living alone here sa Arbortowne, good for you. Gusto ko rin manirahan mag-isa kaso wala akong place bwjsjwj"

'Yun 'yung mga chats n'ya kagabi na 'di ko nakita. I replied, "Thanks for your insight. Btw, san ka na pala nag-aaral?" I pressed send and prepared for school.

When I got to school, nag-reply na si Devon, "Sa OLLC, ikaw ba?"

"St. Bernadette, magkalapit lang pala tayo" I told him.

'Di ugali ni Devon na mag-reply during school hours so I don't think I'll be getting a reply until later. "Sabay tayo uwi, Dev" chat ko sa kan'ya. I'll wait na lang sa school gate nila.

When I got to second floor where my classroom is, I saw Charlotte and Novalie arguing.

N: Walang ginagawa sa 'yo si Soren!
C: Anong wala?! He keep on harassing me!
N: Where are your proofs?! Nasa'n, Charlotte?!
C: Tignan n'yo sa CCTV recordings!
N: I already did and they found nothing!

Pag-akyat ko pa lang, kitang kita kong andaming nag-vivid sa kanila and they're arguing about me. Wala pang teacher na dumarating.

Novalie saw me and she ran to me as she teared up and hugged me tightly.

"I defended you, Soren..." sabi n'ya.

"Grabe, nag-karo'n pa ng drama rito bukod sa 'min" sabi ni Charlotte.

I'm sure Novalie started this argument but she doesn't have to..

"Manahimik ka riyan!" Sigaw ni Novalie. Gan'to pala s'ya magalit; she tears up and runs up to her comfort person.

I just assumed I'm her comfort person... Am I even sure? I shouldn't be assuming things.

Nag-sipasok na mga students sa respective classrooms nila and I wiped Novalie's tears with my sleeves since 'di ako nag-dadala ng panyo.

Habang nag-caclass kami, biglang pumasok si sir Hanns, "Excuse me po sir, may I call Ms. Moreno and Mr. Solberg? The guidance counselors are waiting for them" sabi ni sir.

Is this it? Is Charlotte finally facing a penalty?

Nu'ng nakababa na kami, escorted by sir Hanns, pumasok na kami sa clinic na isa sa dalawang daan papuntang guidance office — 'yung isang daan is through the principal's office —.

Pina-upo kami ni Charlotte, sir Hanns and a counselor; based on her name plaque, she's ma'am Lyza Santos.

"Now, 'di na tayo magpapatumpik-tumpik pa; we've reviewed a lot of footages recently, we've assigned and asked around to get information from Mr. Sorberg's personal account and yours, Ms. Moreno. Based on the gathered information, you're defamating Mr. Solberg by wrongfully accusing him of wrongdoings." Sabi ni ma'am Santos. I'm sure that 'information' came from Novalie.. she's the only one on my side.

After a while, pumasok si Novalie with Ms. Cresh — ABM-1 and Novalie's adviser —. "Ms. Silvestre, please have a seat" sabi ni ma'am Lyza. Umupo na si Novalie beside me and Charlotte is sitting opposite to us.

"Ms. Moreno, we've been told na you've been like this ever since you were transferred here 2 years prior to the current school year. Bakit mo ba dine-defame ang ibang tao? What do you get from it besides attention?" Diniretso s'ya ni Ms. Lyza. I didn't know she was like this way back then, maganda na palang may penalty na s'ya.

"Totoo naman po kasi 'yun!" Defense ni Charlotte sa sarili n'ya.

"Ms. Moreno, based on your past victims, witnesses, and CCTV footages, they have done no such thing. Since you've been doing this for over 2 years, you'll be facing exclusion."

"Ma'am! No! I can't be expelled!" Sigaw ni Charlotte, lumuluha na s'ya.

"Think about those people you've destroyed!" Sigaw ni Novalie.

"Calm down, Ms. Silvestre" bulong ni ma'am Cresh kay Novalie.

After some more exchange, dumating na mom ni Charlotte na pinatawag ng guidance unbeknownst to us.

"Ano'ng ginawa mo bata ka! Ang ayos-ayos nang pag-papalaki ko sa 'yo tapos ganire lang ang igaganti mo sa akin?! Pina-aral pa kita dine sa Bernadette at sabi mo'y pangarap mo rito!" Galit na sumbat ng mother ni Charlotte. The anger, disappointment, and sadness — I can see and hear it all sa boses ni Mrs. Moreno.

"I'm sorry mrs but we have to expell Charlotte." Sabi ni ma'am Lyza.

"Please ma'am, give her one more chance" pag-mamaka-awa ng mother ni Charlotte.

"I'm sorry ma'am but repeat offender po kasi si Charlotte. 2 years na po pala s'yang nag-dedefame."

Umiyak na lang si Mrs. Moreno, si Charlotte nakayuko lang, 'di ko masyadong kita but tumutulo na 'yung luha n'ya. Si Novalie naman, pinupunasan pa rin n'ya luha n'ya na effect ng pag-tatalo nila kanina bago dumating 'yung mother ni Charlotte.

An hour has passed since pumasok kaming tatlo rito sa guidance office at humahagulgol pa rin mother ni Charlotte. She's really devastated na all for nothing ang tuition na pinaghihirapan n'ya. Base sa k'wento n'ya kanina na naisumbat n'ya kay Charlotte, walang ibang nag-susupport sa kanila kasi ang father n'ya is sugarol, alcoholic, and malakas humipak ng sigarilyo — basically, walang income ang father n'ya at gumagastos lang s'ya.

'Di ako makapaniwala na gan'to pala ang background ni Charlotte.. I feel bad for her mother.. but I can't do anything.

After kumalma ni Mrs. Moreno, pina-akyat na kami ni Novalie at naiwan si Charlotte with her mother sa guidance office.

"Aren't you a little relieved Soren? Expelled na si Charlotte!" Sabi ni Novalie excitedly.

"She deserves it but I really feel bad for her mother." Sabi ko.

Pumasok na kami sa classrooms namin and naka-abot pa ko sa class namin earlier since 2 hours ang each subject. Hinabol ko pa 'yung seatwork na ginagawa nila!

After school, hinintay ko si Devon sa school gate nila.
