It's the next morning, suspended ang classes since signal no. 2 raw today based sa news flash last night. I sat on my chair near my study desk as I sip my matcha tea while the rain pours on my picture window. Habang ninanamnam ko ang matcha ko while my air-con amplifies the cold, nahagilap ng mata ko si Devon sa baba na tumatakbo under the rain without a brolly. 'Di nag-tagal, biglang may nag-doorbell, s'ya nga!
I went downstairs and saw him, "Ba't ka sumugod nang walang payong?!" Sigaw ko.
"Meron! Tinangay lang! I was on my way outside to get myself a coffee but tinangay yung payong ko." Saad n'ya.
"Ba't naparito ka't 'di sa inyo?" Sagot ko naman, "I was gonna ask if I could borrow an umbrella hehe, mayayari kasi ako kay mom kapag nalaman n'yang nawala ko 'yung payong."
"Oh?! Nasa Pilipinas si tita?! Wahh~ since when?!" I exclaimed. " 'Yun lang napansin mo? 'Wawa naman ako huhu." He sarcastically said. "But seriously though, last night lang s'ya nakarating; she came unannounced." He added.
S: Sa Friday pa balik ng parents ko eh, I don't know where they went. Sabi lang nila dad mag-babakasyon sila.
D: Dad? Your dad came back?! Halaaa~!
S: Oh yeah I haven't told you yet!
D: Kailan pa s'ya bumalik?!
S: The day before I texted you! Ayun!
D: Really?!
Para kaming sira sa porch ko, nag-sisigawan kami in excitement; pero masyadong malakas ang ulan para marinig kami ng kapitbahay so I guess it's fine.
D: Sumali ka ba sa tryouts ng school nyo?
S: OH MY G- OO NGA PALA!
D: What?
S: I forgot about my tennis tryout hala-
My jaw dropped, I forgot about my tennis tryout! I was holding my jaw with my right hand in disbelief.
D: Check mo baka 'di pa naman ngayon 'yun!
Dali-dali kong chineck yung announcement sa page ng school namin. I looked at it and to my relief, bukas pa 'yun.
S: Tomorrow pa, sana 'di suspended bukas.
D: Malabo, malakas ngayon eh.
Devon left after a couple more exchange with my brolly.
D: Isasauli ko na lang to bukas, thank you!
S: No probs!
I waved at him as he walk away.
I sat on my sofa in the living room and turned on the TV. Manonood muna ako ng movie; when I opened the TV, Balitanghali ang lumabas, 12 noon na pala. I don't have an interest for a news today kaya I switched it to netflix na.
After two movies, hapon na. I looked at the clock and it's 5:21pm. I went to the kitchen, I grabbed a pancit canton pack sa drawer and started the stove as I fill up a pot with water; nang mailagay ko na sa stove 'yung pot, I dumped the canton in there and covered it with a lid.
Habang hinihintay ko maluto 'yun, I went to my living room where a picture window that extends from the floor all the way to the roof, surpassing the second floor. Medyo tumitila na 'yung ulan. I opened the door to let the cold air in, I took one of my bar stool sa kitchen counter and I placed it sa door and I sat on it. Mmm~ cold breeze on a rainy day.
While I was enjoying the view and air, narinig kong kumulo 'yung niluluto ko. I ran to it and turned the stove off, I drained the water and mixed in the seasonings, I grabbed a pair of chopsticks and I ate sa kitchen counter.
While I was eating, nilamig ako bigla so I took the chair back in na nasa door, I also closed the door. Anlamig talaga here! I went back to eating my canton in peace. Nag-vibrate bigla phone ko. It's Devon.
D: She texted me.
Nag-taka ako bigla, who's this "she"? Could it be Krishna?
S: Krishna?
D: YES! She asked if she could have a second chance...
S: It's your choice, however, I want you to consider what happened in the past.
D: I'll think about it...
That about wraps it up for today. Sana may pasok na bukas since I'm excited for my tennis tryout!
