Dark daughter ; Draco x y/n

FOURTY NINE

September 1st

everyone else has started arriving.

i was in Draco's dorm with him.

we had decided to tell everyone that his mother got i'll.

we knew it was a bad excuse but it was the best we could think of.

i could hear other students walking down the corridor outside.

i wondered if people would treat me worse.

it's not a secret that my father was behind Dumbledore's death. bellatrix cast his mark in the sky after all.

Draco had gone for a shower a few minutes ago and i was sat on his bed waiting for him when there was a knock at the door.

Theo.

"so you are here" he said inviting himself in and walking up to me

"yeah we got here yesterday" i replied

"that's why you weren't on the train." he realised

something was off.

he sounded odd.

"where did you go last year? you disappeared the night Dumbledore died. everyone knows your father was behind it." he questioned

he knew something.

but what.

"what are you implying?" i asked acting as if i hadn't a clue

"oh just that you completely disappear without saying anything. You were acting strange the few days before Dumbledore died." he interrogated

i'd never seen him like this.

it was like he was angry with me.

"Draco's mother got i'll and we had to leave early" i said following along with our lie.

"and you couldn't put that in the little note you left pansy? you couldn't write to us over the summer at all? Alina was so confused and upset all summer" he said

The tone in his voice was deep and threatening, he was putting things together

"What do you know about the night Dumbledore died?" he asked stepping closer to me.

i could feel my heart beating hard in my chest and my palms went sweaty.

"i know nothing" i replied

"honestly y/n i'm not dumb. and i will find out what really happened last year" He threatened as he left.

He slammed the door behind him and my head began spinning.

My stomach churned and darted into the bathroom and puked in the toilet.

Poor Draco didn't know what was going on and jumped when i burst in.

He turned the shower off and wrapped himself in a towel as he crouched next to me.

"what's going on y/n?" he asked panicked

i leant against the wall catching my breath.

"Theo knows, he knows we had something to do with Dumbledore's death" i blurted

"how?" he asked

"I don't know. He was just here interrogating me on it" i replied

my hands were still shaking from anxiety.

Draco noticed and pulled me into a tight embrace.

"it's okay. we'll figure it out" he said stroking my hair

i stayed there in his arms for a few minutes before getting up.

"i should get to my dorm. i expect pansy and Alina are there and have a swarm of questions for me as well" i said

"okay but if things get too much come back here" he said

i nodded as i began walking to my dorm.

i walked in and saw the two girls unpacking your things.

"We wondered when we'd be seeing you, we didn't know if you were coming back as you weren't on the train but when we got here we saw your things" Alina started

"i got here yesterday with Draco" i replied

"What happened y/n? you just left" Pansy asked

At least her questioning was a lot calmer than theos.

"Draco's mother was i'll and we had to leave early" i replied

i could see on their faces they weren't buying it.

still they didn't question me.

"so, do you know who the new professors are?" Alina asked changing the subject

"yes, Amycus and Alecto carrow, for dark arts and muggle studies. do not get on their bad side" i answered

"oh are they strict?" alina asked

"not just strict, they are head of punishment and won't hesitate to give you one" i warned

"right" Alinas eyes widened nervously at my statement.

"we should head to dinner. don't want to be late on the first day" i said

the two of them nodded and we headed down to the great hall.

Theo, blaise and Draco were sat at the table waiting for us.

Theo looked just as mad as before.

i took a seat next to Draco just as snape began speaking.

he waffled on about the carrows and new rules.

"And finally. your head boy and head girl of this year are Draco Malfoy and Y/n Riddle" he concluded

The other students all leaned to look at us, surprised we were the head students.

"you didn't mention you were head students!" pansy exclaimed

"oh, well we are" i smiled at her.

"does that mean you can get us out of things?" she asked exitedly

"make no mistake, this year is going to be a hell of a lot different. i suggest you all try your hardest to stay out of trouble. you don't want to end up in detention with the carrows" i warned

All their faces fell as they looked at me slightly confused.

i needed to make sure they were unharmed.

i wouldn't forgive myself otherwise.
