The door screeched against the uneven stones of the entrance when Ominis finally closed it behind him. His wand vibrated on his right hand, telling him that his friends were sitting at the edge of the chairs and looking at him intently.

-You two can stop pretending – he said, rolling his eyes.

Anne giggled.

-How was it?

Ominis tried to keep his lips sealed.

-I don't know what you are talking about.

- You know the stairs are next to the house, right?

- And just because you have a window doesn't mean you must peep at others' business.

- Omi – Anne sang -, you were not even being discreet. Just tell us!

He turned his body away from them.

-Was it as good as you expected?

- No – he smiled softly while removing his jacket -. It was... better.

- Better? – Sebastian's nose wrinkled – That's it?

Ominis rolled his eyes and went back to the table.

-Yes, Sebastian! That's it!

- You don't like to kiss and tell, do you?

- Bassy, if he doesn't want to talk about it, don't push it.

- Thank you! – Ominis eyes looked up.

- It's not like we didn't see the whole thing!

Ominis spit his drink back on the goblet.

-Surely, not the whole thing – he looked hopeful.

- Oh, yes – Sebastian's elbow ended on the table with his face resting on his right hand – We saw MC doing the tiger's jump on you. Like then, feisty, don't you?

- Sebastian, don't be vile! – He screamed – At least try to pretend to be a gentleman in front of your sister!

He scoffed.

- Why? She is hardly a lady.

Anne found the empty bottle of wine and launched it at his head, but he dodged it and heard it smash behind him.

-Better luck next time, sis.

- Don't be cocky – she sneered -. I can still get you while you sleep.

Both boys felt a shiver go down their backs and spoke simultaneously.

-Please, not bucket.

- Not the bucket.

She smiled at them and looked down. It felt like old times to tease them and prank them.

-Anne, you are as scary as always – Ominis felt a sudden rise in his heart rate.

- I do try. But stop dodging the subject – she grabbed his hand over the table–. Omi, I am not trying to push you, but I don't know if I should be happy for you.

He didn't answer.

-You are engaged, after all.

Ominis waited for Sebastian to return to his judgmental ideas, but oddly enough, he remained silent.

-Omi?

He sighed and tried to relax his body, feeling the numbness that came from the alcohol and the sudden temptation to just be honest. It felt free to be himself after years of being constricted.

-I loved every second of it – he smiled at his goblet -. It felt so good it was painful to let her go.

Both his friends smiled.
