Ominis' words were enough to settle her doubts.

Holding her body against his and hiding his face in the crook of her neck, he accepted her surrender and turned his wand upwards.

And they were gone.

They left nothing else behind but the imprint of their boots on the grass, a small twirl of leaf that slowly settled back on the grass and the song of grasshoppers welcoming the night sky.

Their bodies were pushed and pulled. Twisted around the vortex in their entrails and tossed over a clearing miles away from Scotland and the muggle town. They both found their footing with experienced elegance, their bodies entwined while he peppered her neck with kisses and the odd bite.

MC's neck tilted to the side, a soft exhale leaving her lips.

- Where are we?

She opened her eyes and met a forest dipped in cerulean air.

Ominis resented having to step away from her, hot breath fanning over her cheeks. She closed her eyes again to enjoy the smell of his cologne.

- My place – he grunted, one of his hands veering downwards and settling over her thigh. His other hand cupped her cheek to bring her back to his lips, catching the lower one in a soft kiss.

He sucked on it, lapping her bottom lip like it was candy. The witch's heart rate increased its steady thump, beating faster, and her chest started heaving up and down. Ominis noticed her reaction to his advances and groaned under the pressure of controlling himself.

He let go of her lips with one last bite, chuckling at her soft complaint.

- Come with me – his voice was husky and restrained-. The shed is not far. I am sure you will like it.

He extended his hand to lead her, and she was surprised at her eagerness to obey. Her body and mind were numb to all external stimulation other than the feeling of his hand and the expanse of his back as he guided them confidently. As soon as he had her fingers in a gentle grasp, his body tensed in anticipation, and he had to take a deep breath to remind himself of their surroundings.

- Will I? – She laughed, barely listening to anything he said over the thumping of her heart.

Ominis guided her swiftly, and soon, she was presented with a small and enchanting distraction. She marvelled at the luminescent insects flying over their heads, their colours changing between red, purple, blue, silver and every colour imaginable. Their combined dance illuminated their path, and their beauty surpassed an exhibition of multicoloured glitter thrown in the air.

- It's beautiful.

Her words incited him to grasp her fingers with more force, dying to tell her she was the only beauty in that forest. He knew his place was not far, but suddenly, he couldn't have her close enough. He brought her closer to his side, his right hand on her waist possessively.

MC did not push him away, so he convinced himself of her embarrassment and tried to imagine the heat of her cheeks.

After a few more steps, they reached the tree line surrounding a well-trimmed clearing, with a small construction in the centre just twenty steps away. As he had mentioned before, the construction was little more than a shed built with tilted walls that reached the ground with the precision of a knife. She noticed it was beside a curved oak and admired its simple yet charming setting. But the details turned all the more mesmerizing when the clouds cleared and gave way to the dimming lights of the afternoon.
