We're a Team

"NOOOO!! YOU CAN'T MAKE!!!"
Minato shouted as he was being pulled from the Uchiha residence by Kakashi and Itachi.
"Sensei, you have to leave Naruto here, you can't bring a baby to the Kage summit!"
Kakashi said as pulled Minato away from the head Uchiha residence.
"Minato, honestly Naruto is gonna be fine, it's only gonna be three days."
Fugaku explained to the doting father.
"But what if he misses me and I'm not there for him."
Minato said hoping his pleas were enough to get him to stay.
"We'll call you, Naruto will be fine as well protected."
Fugaku said to the hokage.
Minato sighed as he composed himself.
" Fine, if there's anyone I can trust, it would be your family Gakky."
Minato said much to Fugaku's relief and slight displeasure at the nickname.
"Right, now you should get going, you shouldn't keep the other Kage waiting."
"Right let me just say goodbye to him, I'm warning you now, he might be inconsolable. "
Minato explained as Fugaku set Naruto down on the ground.
" Alright Naruto dada is gonna be gone for a few days but he'll be back really soon, I know you might feel a little sad but you have to be a big boy and... "
" Bye Dada. "
Naruto said as he went inside the house to look for Sasuke .
"... " Minato was frozen as if time had stood still around him.
"Uh sir we should get going."
Itachi said to the now saddened father.
"My little boy is already independent!"
Minato cried dramatically as he followed Kakashi and Itachi.
"It's okay Lord Hokage, he's just excited to play with Sasuke."
Itachi explained as he patted Minato's back.
" See you in a few days Mother and Father. "
Itachi bowed as he continued to lead Minato alongside Kakashi.
" That's our Hokage, how he manages to literally be the best Hokage we had in nearly a century never ceases to astound me, given his quirks. "
Fugaku said as he headed inside.
Once inside the house, Naruto was looking under furniture as if he was looking for something.
"What is he looking for?"
Fugaku asked Mikoto who is currently watching over Naruto.
"I don't know, I thought he was looking for a toy."
Mikoto answered when she felt a tug on her clothes.
" Yes sweetie what is it? "
Mikoto turned to the toddler trying to get her attention.
"Sasa? "
Naruto said to mother.
" Oh he's probably still asleep in his room, why don't you go wake him up. "
Mikoto grabbed Naruto's hand and led him to Sasuke's room where she opened the door for Naruto.
Sasuke was snoring pretty loudly as he was sleeping in a rather unconventional position.
"Sasa."
Naruto said a little excited as he walked over to Sasuke's bed and started patting the older boy's face.
"Huh wha?"
Sasuke sat and rubbed his eyes.
" Sasa ged ub! "
Naruto said to the preteen.
" Naruto? What are you doing here?"
Sasuke stretched as he got out of his bed.
"About the time you were up, you'd been asleep for a good while."
Mikoto said to her son as she walked and looked around.
"You need to really tidy up here."
Said the mother.
"I will.... eventually."
Sasuke muttered.
"Anyways, aren't you supposed to be doing something with your teammates today?"
Mikoto reminded the boy.
" I was....CRAP I WAS!?"
Sasuke cursed as he started gathering his ninja supplies.
Mikoto covered Naruto's ears.
"Careful with the language Sasuke, Naruto doesn't need to be hearing that. "
" Sorry! "
Sasuke rushed out of his room and to the bathroom.
" He's a bit time blind some days. "
Mikoto said to Naruto.
Sasuke came out of the bathroom in his ninja attire.
"Can I Naruto? Hinata probably wants to see him too."
Sasuke asked as he put together his ninja pouch.
" Aren't you training today, that might be too dangerous for Naruto."
Mikoto explained to her son.
" Please Mom, me and Hinata will take care of him. "
Sasuke pleaded.
" Wan go wi Sasa."
Naruto hugged Sasuke's leg.
" As long as Hinata is also there, it should be fine. "
Mikoto said.
" Yes! I can even teach Naruto something too. "
Sasuke said as he tied his headband on his forehead.
"Nothing dangerous young man. "
Mikoto scolded her son.
" I know Mom."
Sasuke said as rushed to the front door to put on his shoes.
Mikoto helped Naruto into his shoes and she handed Sasuke a sling bag.
"What's this for?"
Sasuke asked.
"All of Naruto's baby stuff. You know diapers, spare clothes and snacks if he gets hungry."
Mikoto finished explaining as she handed the bag to Sasuke.
" Alright."
Sasuke slung the bag across his body and placed Naruto on his back.
"Hang on Naruto, we're in a rush."
Sasuke said as he jumped high and started running across the rooftops of buildings.
Mikoto walked back into her home but she noticed on a table beside her there was a bento.
"Oh no, Sasuke forgot his lunch."
Mikoto picked up the bento and wrapped it in a cloth.
"I'll just have to bring it to him, while I'm at it I could make some for teammates . "
Mikoto said as she got to work on more bento boxes.
Meanwhile Sasuke was jumping from rooftop to rooftop, Naruto was squealing happily as Sasuke jumped.
"Alright Naruto so today yours truly is gonna give you some first hand ninja training, granted you might be too little to actually do anything substantial but at least you get an early start."
Sasuke said to the toddler as he made his way to the village gate.
"Hey, just heading to the third training ground."
Sasuke told the gate guard.
" Wait, why do you have the Hokage's kid? "
One of the guards asked.
"Hold it Kotetsu, this is Fugaku's kid, he's on the safety list."
Said a tired looking guard as he tossed a clipboard to the more diligent guard
"So he is, what are your intentions with the honorable son of the Hokage?"
The guard known as Kotetsu asked.
" Just babysitting while doing  low rank missions with my team, maybe show him a thing or two. "
Sasuke answered.
Kotetsu put away the clipboard.
"Very well you are permitted to leave, but I'll have to escort you there."
Kotetsu explained to Sasuke.
"Fine, but I hope you can keep up, we're running late."
Sasuke walked outside the village gates where Kotetsu led him to the third training ground where Hinata and Konohamaru awaited him.
"About time you got here!"
Konohamaru exclaimed.
" Hi Sasuke. "
Hinata waved.
("The children of leaders from two clans, the honorable grandson, and the honorable son all in one place, this is an elite group.")
Kotetsu thought to himself.
" What are you doing here, I told you I don't need any guards."
Konohamaru said to Kotetsu.
" Right, I'll take my leave."
Kotetsu left the training field
"Mama! "
Naruto shouted as he was set down by Sasuke, the boy quickly ran to Hinata.
"You brought Naruto?"
Hinata picked up  the boy who quickly hugged her.
"Yeah the Hokage left him with my family while he's at a thing."
Sasuke answered.
"Why'd ya bring a stupid baby, he's gonna just slow us down."
Konohamaru huffed.
"Call him stupid again and I'll beat you down."
Sasuke as he stepped to Konohamaru.
"As if you can."
Konohamaru retorted..
" Does he really need to be here Hinata, he's annoying and he's gonna slow us down."
Sasuke complained.
" He's our teammate Sasuke, and we need to work together, that's what Kakashi-Sensei said."
Hinata explained.
"Fine. "
Sasuke huffed.
"Whatever, now what is our mission? "
Konohamaru asked.
" We're locating a lost cat for Madam Shijimi, the cat is named Tora."
Hinata explained.
Konohamaru groaned in annoyance.
" I can't wait to become a chunin so we can do some real missions."
" Heh, that I can agree to. "
Sasuke responded.
"The  exam is only a month away, I'm a little worried."
Hinata said a little worried.
" No need to worry, I'll protect ya. "
Konohamaru placed his arm around Hinata causing the young Hyuga to blush .
Sasuke then placed his arm around Hinata.This caused her bush even more.
"Kitty."
Naruto pointed out.
"Kitty?"
Hinata looked and saw a cat with a titular red ribbon around its neck.
" Wait, that's Tora!"
Hinata exclaimed as she slipped away from her male teammates.
Tora recognizing the ninja headband meaning someone is coming for her she quickly ran off.
"Okay so I'm thinking we can..."
Before Hinata could finish her sentence Konohamaru and Sasuke ran off.
"Dammit c'mon let's get it!
" Not if I get it first, jerk!"
"Plan....we were supposed to plan it out first."
Hinata sighed in defeat.
Naruto, sensing Hinata's mood, hugged her.
"Mama is sad."
Hinata smiled slightly as she rubbed the top of Naruto's head.
"I'm not sad, I just wish we can all work together as a team. I try to tell them but they never listen. "
Hinata sighed as she sat on a nearby bench.
"Hinata, is that you?"
Hinata looked up and noticed Sasuke's mother Mikoto.
"Oh hello Lady Mikoto."
Hinata quickly stood and bowed.
"Sasa mama!"
Naruto quickly toddled to Mikoto.
" Hey sweetie, are you being good to Sasuke and Hinata? "
Mikoto picked up the boy.
" Me goo."
Naruto responded.
" So where's Sasuke and the third grandson? "
Mikoto asked as she sat next to Hinata.
" They're off trying to see who's trying to catch our target first. I'm trying to get us to work together but they just fight so much, they hardly listen to my advice about working as a team. "
Hinata explained to Mikoto.
"Ha, that brings me back to my early ninja days with Fugaku and Minato. "
Mikoto smiled as she reminisced.
" You were on a team with the Hokage?! "
Hinata exclaimed, surprised.
" Sure and I was in your exact position, Minato and Fugaku couldn't stop fighting for more than a few seconds."
Mikoto revealed to Hinata.
" But they're so friendly with each other, what changed? "
Hinata asked.
"They both needed someone to reel them in, a second leader who could knock some sense into them. "
Mikoto cracked her knuckles.
" U uh I I don't think I can do that. "
Hinata turned away in shyness.
" You have it in you to be a leader, Sasuke tells me all the time how amazing you are."
Hinata blushed a deep red.
" S s Sasuke r really say that about me."
"And more, and honestly, don't tell him I told you this. You might end up being a jonin way before him. "
Mikoto whispered.
Hinata covered her nearly fully red face.
" Mama wed. "
Naruto pointed out.
" She's just a bit flustered is all Naruto."
Mikoto said as she placed down the cloth that had all three bentos in it.
"I'll let you handle it how you want to handle it, but if there's anyone who can reel in a team it's someone like you, Hinata. "
Mikoto said as she picked up Naruto.
" I'll bring Naruto home so you can focus on your boys, besides It's Naruto's naptime. "
Mikoto said as she walked off.
" Bye Mama. "
Naruto waved.
Hinata waved bye to Naruto and Mikoto as they walked off.
Hinata thought about Mikoto's words and she took a deep breath which she then exhaled.
" I -I can do this. "
Hinata grabbed the lunches and she made her way to the direction she saw her teammates go.
Meanwhile Sasuke and Konohamaru were trying their hardest to catch Tora. Both boys are trying their own strategies, for example; Sasuke was perched in a tree he laid a fish he had caught on a rudimentary trap he constructed out sticks, flexible twigs and leaves.
Tora saw the fish out in the open, the cat slowly made her way to the fish and smelled it.
"I got you now you damn cat
Sasuke muttered under his breath as he cut a twig springing his trap.
"There you are!"
Konohamaru shouted as he rushed causing Tora to run off which led to Konohamaru being caught and being hoisted upside down
"Hey what gives!"
Konohamaru shouted as he cut himself down.
"Are you kidding me!"
Sasuke shouted as he jumped down, furious.
"You set that trap up!? What are you trying to pull on Uchiha?"
The brown haired boy shouted
Sasuke grabbed Konohamaru by the cuff of his shirt.
"I ALMOST HAD HER YOU SCREW UP!!"
Sasuke shouted in anger.
Konohamaru grabbed Sasuke by his shirt.
"YOU'RE THE SCREW UP! QUIT GETTING IN MY WAY! "
Konohamaru shouted back.
" Let go! "
Sasuke said as he pushed Konohamaru away from him separating both boys from each other.
"You damn jerk, you trying to start something!"
Konohamaru shouted at Sasuke.
"You know what, yeah I am, someone needs to put dead last screw ups like you in their place."
Sasuke got in a stance; he was prepared for a fight.
"And someone needs to humble people like you."
Konohamaru got into his own fighting stance.
Both boys then started running to each other as they were determined to beat the other to submission.
