"No!" Mikey screamed, and JJ instantly clasped his hand over his mouth, praying to all the gods that the guards didn't hear him.

"She's dead... she's dead, JJ! They killed her!"

"I know, I know-" JJ tried keeping him quiet, but it was really challenging, especially when he started sobbing. JJ, meanwhile, was still shook from the scene that'd unfolded in front of him.

Sarah started screaming once she processed that one of her best friends was dead. "How could you! How could you! I told you guns killed people, and you still used them anyway! You're evil! Pure evil!"

"Put her in a prison cell until she calms down." Commander Floss ordered, unphased by her reaction. As she was taken away, even Tom looked shaken up. As in, "oh shit, they're actually being serious."

"I swear on my life-" He began carefully. "I only let them in so I could confront them before turning them in. I would never side with them. They caused my death. You guys know that right? So there's no need to kill me-"

"Put him in prison too," Commander Floss looked like she had hardly even listened. "We'll interrogate him when he have the time."

"Alright guys, be careful now." Tom said as he was dragged away. "I'm a loyal, tax paying citizen. There's no need to be rough..."

"I want to get out of here!" Mikey sobbed, rolling over on his side. "I'm scared! I'm so scared!"

"We will. We're getting out of here, right now." JJ promised, feeling a mix of anger, and something he hadn't felt in a while - grief. Elizabeth hadn't done anything wrong, to anyone. She only went out there to protect her friend, and she had agreed to come with JJ and Mikey because they'd said they needed help, and everyone they could get. Selflessness, you could call it.

And what would happen to Sarah and Tom? Would they just be killed too?

"Commander Floss is a tyrant. I can't allow her to keep this up." JJ decided. "Something needs to be done."

But what could he do? It was dangerous without any kind of weapon. And, Mikey was already a mess, and he had to focus on protecting him. What he really needed to do, was find a logical approach to all of this.

But that was thing. JJ hasn't been able to think, or do anything logical for a while now.

"Just think of something. Anything." JJ told himself. "You always come up with a good idea in the end."

But he really couldn't. His emotions were overpowering everything else. And the more he observed Mikey breaking down, the more he realized how this was all Commander Floss' fault, and the angrier he became.

JJ wasn't going to run away and leave Commander Floss with all this power. But first thing was first, he needed to get Mikey somewhere safe while he took care of business.

"We need to leave, while they're distracted." JJ ushered Mikey to his feet. "Let's go."

But Mikey couldn't take his eyes off of Elizabeth's dead body. He was frozen in place for a minute, but when JJ forced him out of his trance, he started crying again.

"We need to be as quiet as we can out there, okay?" JJ didn't have time to do any comforting right now, so the best he could do was just set Mikey's feelings aside for the time being. "We don't want anyone finding us."

"But what if they do? We would get shot, just like Elizabeth! I don't want that to happen! We need to stay where it's safe, and-"

Then Mikey stopped. He kept looking outside, like he was really focused on something, before unexpectedly trying to bolt outside. JJ stopped him, however.
