Nathaniel and Natasha were back at school on Monday.

"Your brother's party sucked," Tessa joked when she joined Natasha that morning.

"Sorry about that," Natasha said, "brothers came home."

"Brothers? Plural? I only saw one," Trix pointed out.

"Yeah," Natasha said, "Andy came home on Saturday."

"Ooh, is he pretty like Andrew too?"

Natasha laughed. Andrew didn't tell her he had met her friends.

"He's also hockey player; he rarely visits."

"I think I might switch from football players to hockey players!" Tessa exclaimed.

"Oh no, you don't," a voice behind them said.

The girls turned around to find Brandon. He wrapped his arms around Tessa and kissed her, "You love football players."

"Hi Brandon," Natasha said.

Trix laughed.

Natasha turned her attention back to Trix, walking away from the two lovebirds.

"So, tell me everything," Trix said eagerly, "how was your date with Cassidy?"

"It was nice," Natasha smiled, "just movie and a dinner."

"Did he kiss you?"

"On the cheek."

"On the cheek?" Trix asked, "Did you get friend-zoned? I mean, who still does that?"

"He was sweet," Natasha said.

"Maybe he just really likes you then," Trix said.

"Why do you say that?"

"For one, he's taking it slow."

Natasha shrugged as they sat down on a bench outside by the school track.

"Do you like him?"

"He's a nice guy...I don't know him well enough yet."

"He is a nice guy," Trix agreed, "and you'll fall in love with him," she smiled.

"Natasha!"

Trix and Natasha spun around.

"See ya," Trix said stepping away when she saw that is was Cassidy running to them from the track.

"Hey," Natasha said.

"How was the rest of your weekend?" Cassidy asked, taking a seat next to her.

"Apart from our date? Boring, my brothers came home.

"Oh yeah, Nate was complaining about his cancelled party," Cassidy said.

"He just can't wait to have one," Natasha agreed.

"I'm kind of tired of the party scene now," Cassidy said, "I'm retired."

"Ooh," Natasha teased, "did we have a major party boy on our hands?"

Cassidy chuckled.

"Hey," Natasha said, "don't worry about it. We're all like that."

"You? Party girl, naw."

"Sister of three party boys," Natasha said, "genetics."

Cassidy nodded in agreement, "Okay, you win."

Natasha smiled, "Where are your friends?"

Cassidy nodded toward the bleachers, where a group of shirtless athletes were cheering and screaming.

"Dance squad practice," he said.

"Not interested in dancers?"

"Only interested in types like you," Cassidy said.

It was Natasha's turn to blush.

"So," Cassidy began, "I was thinking, want to hang out this week? Or weekend?"

Natasha smiled, "We have a biology report due at the end of the week, right?"

"Yes?" Cassidy said, puzzled.

"Come over to my place tonight, we can work on our reports together," Natasha suggested.

"Sounds good," Cassidy said, grinning, "I'll see you later."

With another kiss on her cheek, he was gone.

"He did it again!"

"Oh my God," Natasha said, letting out a breath of relief, "you scared me."

"He likes you," Trix said.

"Were you like eavesdropping?"

"Sorta," Trix said, blushing slightly.

"Trix!"

"But seriously, I know Cassidy. We've been in the same school in the first grade. The guy likes you."

"That's comforting."

"And you two are already so cute together," Trix squealed.

"We've only been on one date!"

Trix laughed and dismissed her, "Whatever. He'll work his charm on you. You won't get far with Bio. Before you know it, the eight of us will be on group dates together!"

Trix was right.

Natasha was caught off guard, considering the many times Cassidy had just reached over to kiss her cheek.

After working on the biology report for half an hour, they decided they needed a break. She had reached over to grab an extra controller when she caught Cassidy's eye. In the moment, Cassidy had leaned over to kiss her.

It was Cassidy who broke the kiss first.

"Hey Nat," Cassidy said, "I have a confession."

"What is it?" Natasha asked trying to look up at him.

"So, I don't do girlfriends."

"Oh."

Great, Natasha thought, way to ruin the mood.

"I just wanted to tell you because you're the first girl I really liked."

Natasha smiled in reply.

"I don't want to hurt you..." Cassidy continued, "So, I'm just asking you, to be patient, if I'm ever being sketchy."

"We don't have to rush into anything," Natasha said, leaning on him.

Cassidy didn't say anything.

"So, are you and Kingston a thing now?" Nathaniel asked that night after Cassidy had left.

"What?" Natasha asked.

"You guys were not doing Bio."

"No," Natasha defended, "we're just hanging out."

"You looked pretty comfortable for just hanging out."

"Why do you care?"

"Nothing," Nathaniel said, "just looking out for my sister."

Natasha raised her eyebrow, "Yeah right. What is it?"

"He doesn't have a good rep," Nathaniel protested.

"Neither do you."

"Fine, fine," Nathaniel said, holding his hands up.

Natasha watched as Nathaniel poured himself a glass of orange juice.

"Thanks though," she said quietly.

"Yeah," Nathaniel shrugged as he closed the fridge.
