Who would have though.

Me and my wife have been together for almost 2 decades, we're your typical highschool sweethearts or whatever cliché you may call it. I came to the states around sophomore year with her being my translator for the majority of years until I managed on her own and my English might just be better than hers and she's a native.

Her words, not mine though we know she's lying-. I still struggle with the grammar a lot.

Ever since then we've kicked it off strongly with one set back, neither of us are able to have children and that took a toll on her especially. We didn't talk for a week not knowing how to process the fact that none of us are capable of creating another life.

We crave caring for someone and to love in a parental way. We've never had a little but we know we'd do everything anything in our power to care and nourish them.

Until we discovered Age regression.

"Mhm what are you thinking about my love?"

As soon as I felt her comforting arms around my waist I forgot she asked me a question for a moment, "Our little one, what if we never find her?"

"Shh малышка моя, everything will be fine and she'll show up right when you least expect it.

Try not to thing much of it" she tells me while pecking my cheeks which kind of tickles.

"Hopefully, I'm not getting any younger....3 more years and I'm 40 babe. By the way what happened at work today, you seemed a bit on edge when I called you?"

Clearing her throat she drags me to the sitting area before bringing me next to her. Now I'm a bit worried but as soon as she sees the look forming on my face she starts reassuring me.

"A student....she came in class today with a bruise on her face which was clearly a handprint. I kept trying to get her to tell me what happened but the little dove wouldn't budge. I'm worried if she could be a victim to bullying or there's a home issue going on."

"Mhmm, she's afraid darling. If this is a home situation she might not want to tell. even more so due to the fact that she may have been threatened or it has happened before. Most times they agree with the parents and think they deserve it because it's all they've ever known. Just give her time"

"You've always been one with words" she says with a playful eye roll.

"Clearly dear now c'mon, we should have left 20 minutes ago."

I was starting to think you guys showed me up, now come in before I change my mind.

'She's so dramatic, we were only like 30 minutes late."

"Don't you have a sister, Nadia I believe?where is she?" My wife spoke through the thick silence making her way to the bar stools getting comfy.

"She went to a friend's house earlier but I'm guessing she's on her way now. I guess something went down at her house, anyways anyone up for some Alfredo?"

Rolling my eyes I give her a disappointed look earning a chuckle back from.

"Id never turn down some Alfredo and you know that" I tell her while pouring me a glass of wine.

Anything new been happening lately? How's your new book coming along" Jayden asked me.

I let her know all is well and I'm focusing on the plot which seemed to be a dreadful process if you ask me.

'we sit for about 40 minutes including us eating said pasta until a rustling sound is heard. It doesn't take long for crying to engulf our ears which leads me to turn to my wife.

That sounded like a baby's cry.

I look to Jayden in confusion until I hear my wife gasp from the side of me. I try snapping her out of though and fortunately it worked.

"Genevieve?"

The little girl in I'm guessing Nadia's
hold brings her head up sniffing away.

"You know her?" I turn to my wife.

"I- yes, that's the girl I was telling you about....why I was so worried earlier."

Looking back up to the little thing she looks conflicted while confused. Why was she crying and being held up like that? Her big round eyes look from me to my wife bringing her tiny fingers to her mouth.

Is she?

"What happened? Is everything ok or?" I hear a voice range outwhich belongs to my love.

"Fight with her parents, I'm not sure what to do now though, she's...uhm well-

"Go ahead N, they're caregivers"

"I know but what if she didn't want them to know?!"

Getting frustrated I fix my eyes towards my wife who seems to get out her seat rather quickly before reaching a few inches away from them.

"I'm not sure what the hell is happening at the moment but I want someone to start speaking up."

'I watch as Nadia give a thoughtful look before caving in.'

"Her parents were being aggressive which caused her to slip to a younger mindset. She's-

"A little" my love let's out lowly.

Nodding she confirms it all and I couldn't help the small smile that graced my lips..

Gen I assume is munching on her little fingers without a care to the world of what's going on.

"May I take her? I'm a caregiver and have been experienced with littles in the past, and she looks a little floppy to be held that way dear.

'And I'm the one with words'

Nadia obliges but not before whispering out a "she's going to murder me"

Getting up I follow my wife to the living area while the sisters seem to talk about what happened.

Humming I sit beside her and the little one she's holding in her arms.

"She's so tiny" I tell her letting the baby grab onto one of my fingers trying to suckle on them.

"Yea, no older than 1 if I'm being honest"

This is not how soon I thought it was going to take us.
