Aurora’s POV

“Aurora!” Mia exclaimed as she walked inside.

She approached me and practically threw herself at me.

“Oh, I was so worried!” she cried out. “How are you?”

She let me go and looked at me. Her eyes were wide and filled with fear, sadness, and worry.

“I am okay,” I said, giving her a small smile. “I wanted to go to school today, but…”

“But no,” Sebastian interrupted me. “You are not going to school, Rory. Forget it.”

I sighed and kept my eyes on Mia.

“How are you?” I asked her. “Did you…”

“I am so sorry, Aurora!” she exclaimed, interrupting me. “I should have taken better care of you. I feel so guilty. Tim feels guilty. We…”

“You are not guilty,” I said. “Bruno is the only one to blame.”

Mia took a deep breath, I noticed tears in her eyes.

“Tim tried to call you,” she said. “He wants to talk to you.”

I nodded and gave her a small smile. “I will call him back. I haven’t been on my phone much.”

I was afraid of what I would find if I looked through that phone. I was afraid of the rumors. I was afraid of those videos being posted online.

Mia gulped and looked at Sebastian. Anger flashed in her eyes.

“I know, Mia,” Sebastian sighed. “I am a jerk.”

Mia scoffed and crossed her arms over her chest.

“That’s putting it lightly,” she said. “How could you do that to your sister?”

“No, Mia, it’s okay,” I said. “We talked and…”

“You talked, but we didn’t,” she said, pointing a finger at Sebastian and herself. “I have a lot to say.”

I raised my hands in surrender and sat back down next to Sebastian. He wrapped an arm around my shoulders and kissed my temple.

“Oh, so now you are friends with her?” Mia asked mockingly. “Now you are protective again?”

“Mia, I…” Sebastian spoke, but she interrupted him.

“I’m not done,” she said, frowning at him. “You ignored her for months. You ignored all of us for months. What makes you think that you can just walk right back into our lives again?”

Sebastian sighed and tightened his hold on me.

“Nothing,” he said, shaking his head. “I know I can’t, Mia. But I am making it up to her. I will make it up to all of you.”

I looked at Rhys and my heart skipped a beat. He was leaning against the wall and looking at Sebastian and Mia. He had a small smirk on his face and I knew he was enjoying this a little.

“How?” Mia asked, drawing my attention back to them.

Sebastian sighed and ran his fingers through his hair.

“By being here for all of you,” Sebastian said, making Mia roll her eyes.

“And we are supposed to believe you?” she asked. “Why?”

Sebastian shook his head. “You are not supposed to believe me. You are supposed to let me prove it to you.”

Mia raised an eyebrow at him.
