"My legs hurt" Adina sighed as she stood in line with hundreds of other aspiring cadets "Just deal with it we don't have to stay for too long, what's really pissing me off are these belts" Annie muttered, earning a smile from her dark haired friend
Whilst waiting for their commander to come out, Adina took that opportunity to scan her classmates for the next three years
"These are the apparent devils of paradise?" She thought as she looked at all these kids her age who wore bored expressions Her eyes landed on one girl, she was short and absolutely stunning with shoulder length blonde hair and big blue eyes, as the two made eye contact, she gave her the warmest and most genuine smile to which Adina found herself returning
Don't get attached, you'll kill them all in the end
Her thoughts were interrupted when a tall bald man with tanned skin and sunken eyes made his was infront of the students, Adina guessing this was commander Shadis
"Straighten those spines piss-ants! The 104th cadet corps boot camp starts now!" The man shouted making Adina scowl "it's not even 9:00 yet" she though as she rolled her eyes, why did she think paradis would be different to Marley
"Allow me to introduce myself. I'm commandant Keith Shadis and you will grow to hate me! Training is gonna be a white knuckle ride through hell! If I've done my job you'll be waking up in a cold sweat from memories of this place every night for the rest of your miserable lives!" He shouted, Adina looking at Annie who wore the same peeved off expression
"Right now you're nothing! Livestock. But over the next three sould crushing years you'll learn to take down your own Goliath." Shadis continued
"These guys know about Goliath?" Adina though
"Remember this moment when you come face to face with him, cause here's where you ask yourself, am I a fighter, or am I feed? Am I gonna be ground up to pulpy human grist tween boulder sized incisors?"
"Or am I gonna be the one to bite?"

"This is tiring" Adina thought as she watched Shadis screamed at each student mostly insulting them. "Whys he have to come here" She thought as Shadis made his way through the crowd, surprisingly passing her and Annie, merely giving them a side glance as he moved onto his next victims
"Hm" Adina shrugged as she heard Shadis's booming voice "And what do we have over here?!"
"Jean Kirstein sir, from trost district!" A tall boy with short ash blonde hair stated
"And why are you here cadet?"
"To join the military police sir, the best of the best." Jean stated, Adina noticing the boy opposite her with fiery green eyes side eye the ash blonde
