Adina couldn't really remember much from trost, she remembers certain aspects like eren lifting the boulder and Connie head butting a titan. But there was one thing that would never leave her

Adina sliced through her sixth titan of that day having split with Annie jean and Connie for a while, "he's actually managing to do it" She hummed as she looked at eren lifting the boulder
Her thoughts were interrupted by a bloodcurdling scream a few roofs away that caught her attention. "It's none of my business, it's not my place to save anyone from this island" she kept on repeating in her head
But her efforts were futile, she knew these people weren't the spawns of devils, they were just people, people like the ones in Marley
Both back home and in the walls it was the same, there were bad people but there were also good ones
Adina found her body moving on its own as she landed in the rooftop
How she wished she hadn't
"What are you guys doing.." She murmured as she took a step closer to her comrades who had Marco held down screaming and crying whilst Annie fumbled with his gear
"Adi! Please help me!!" Marco wailed "Annie why?" Adina questioned although deep down she had an idea of why
"Adi! He was listening in on our conversation, we can't let him live" Reiner explained as bertholdt told them a titan was approaching
"Don't call me that Reiner, why couldn't you be smart for once in your life and look around before you start yapping. You two bertholdt" Adina said as she began to silently cry
"This ain't the time to cry! Help Annie take off Marcos gear! A titans approaching!!" Reiner yelled
"I..I can't" Adina murmured "Why? Have you gone soft Alves? I see the way you are with jean, it's disgusting how close you are to an island devil" Reiner spat
"I suggest, you prove your loyalty to the motherland right here and now" He commanded Adina feeling forced to kneel down and fidget with marcos odm gear
"Adina please!!" Marco cried as Adina tried to block out the sounds of his screams "I can't" Adina cried as Annie yanked the odm off

"Adina come on!!" Bertholdt yelled as the group zipped away from Marco with his odm
"Adina, why?? We didn't even get to talk this through" The brunette said through tears as the titan grabbed onto him
"Hey guys," reiner said with a mortified face "whys Marco, being devoured?" He genuinely asked, all three of them looking at him with a mix of confusion and horror as he killed the titan that was ripping off half of marcos flesh
