"What the hell happened to you three?" Zeke said as the three remaining warriors out of the original five stood infront of him, their cloths torn, hair messy and still healing
"No hello? We haven't seen each other in five years" Adina sighed
"That is true" Zeke noted "wow Adina haven't you grown! How were the island devils?" Zeke asked sarcastically, Adinas ticked off face making him let out a laugh
"But you know what I need to ask, and who's she?" The bearded blonde asked, pointing to Ymir who good behind Adina almost as if the two were hoping he wouldn't notice her
"Oh, that's Ymir" Adina said hesitantly, Zeke giving her a look that said don't stop talking
"She's the one who stole marcels jaw" Reiner answered for her
"Ah, I did hear about that on your first report back, your in for it when you see porco" Marleys wonder boy smiled to himself, he'd always just watched Reiner and porco fight so they all knew he would not be of much help in diffusing the situation at all
"So then, where's Annie?"
"We're not sure..." Reiner answered, whatever persona he had on paradis quickly dissolved as they stood infront of the now war cheif Zeke
He was back to that same little boy that used to be pushed around by porco every day
"Her cover was blown" Adina stated "we couldn't get intel on wether or not she was captured, but it's either she managed to escape or the former option" she answered
On habit Zeke had since they were kids was clicking his pens over and over when he knew that one of the younger warriors were gonna get a beating and they had been his responsibility, ultimately meaning he'd meet the same fate
They were older now, they knew what awaited them wasn't a beating but possibly much much worse
"How did you lose Annie? Adina, you her and pieck were basically attached at the hip!" Zeke sighed
"And you didn't get the founder either?" He asked only to be met with nervous head shaking
"You're finished, im finished!" Zeke said as he pinched the bridge of his nose "We do know who has the founder!" Bertholdt said, Adina standing behind him and brewing some coffee for her and Ymir
She'd always tried to convince Zeke or her older brother to let her taste some but they always had the same answers
"It requires mature taste buds"
"Well they're mature now" she smiled as she waited for her drink
"And what's their name?" Zeke asked, not too interested in that detail. "Eren Yeager" Reiner stated,
"Knew it" Adina said to herself as she watched Zeke expression drop, his face turn pale and his breathing become erratic
"Did he..did he mention any of his family members?" Zeke managed to get out
