fuck emma thought to herself. emma loves that spot for multiple reasons the main one being she was able to see the sturniolo triplets and vicky's table perfectly plus if she doesn't have that spot she's stuck eating lunch somewhere else mean they basically just kicked her off the table for the day.

her moms tell her to drop her friends as they are backstabbing bitches however they won't let emma drop them. they claim there her friends but their so mean to her, she doesn't understand why though.

as she walked through the hallways of the school all she could think about is not being able to sit at the table. honestly how could her friends just kick her off the table like that they sure are bitches.

the library

as emma stepped foot into the library the first thing she noticed was how bare it was. there was hardly anyone there which makes sense considering it was 7:20 in the morning. emma decided to get a spot in the back corner furthest away from the librarian who would probably ask her a question and it would turn into conversation which she didn't have time for. emma came into the library a lot, so it made sense for the librarian to know who she was. as she was walking to the spot she quickly said hi to the librarian to be nice and made her way to the back.

the first thing emma did once she sat down was put in her earbuds and turned on a random playlist. she got out her homework and started to do the assignment which honestly wasn't that long as she did do most of it the night before, she just had a few multiple choice questions left a couple writing ones.

once she had gotten about half way through the first writing question she felt a tap on her shoulder, she took her earbud out to see it was matthew sturniolo.

emma gave him what she hoped was a calm smile but inside she was freaking out.

"hey, is this seat taken" matt asked with a kind smile

omg that smile emma thought to her self. okay she needed to keep it together

"oh, no you can sit here" emma said as she returned the smile

matt looked at her in surprise was the emma alexson really talking to him of all people.

"thanks" matt said as he sat down

the two sat in a silence for a sec before emma spoke up

"is there a reason you're sitting over here when there are multiple empty seats, not to be rude or anything i was just wondering" emma asked a little confused

"oh, um no reason just like the back corner i guess" matt told her with a blush rising to his cheaks

"i like the back corner to, which i guess is why i'm sitting back here" emma said internally slapping herself cause obviously she likes the back corner if she's sitting here

"so what are you doing at school so early" matt asks

"i could ask you the same thing"

" i asked the question first"

" yeah i guess that's true" emma chuckles to herself

"im finishing my homework that i couldn't finish yesterday cause my bitchy friends decided to interrupt me doing it, and i like the library it's really quiet, well most of the time" emma explains

"yeah the library is really quiet, i like to do my homework in here to"

"so what are you doing in here then if you don't have homework" emma asked noticing he didn't have his bag with him

"oh, um i'm just waiting for my brothers, nick is tutoring, and i think chris is with vicky doing something i could be wrong though" matt told her

"if you don't have to be here why are you here" emma asks genuinely curious

"i'm the only one that could drive so i had to take them" matt says annoyed

"oh yeah i guess that makes sense" emma laughs a little

matt smiles glad he made the emma alexson laugh.

the two talked a little longer both really happy that they were able to talk to their crushes.

"well i think i better go i have to meet up with my friends before they kill me" emma told matt with a frown on her face, she wanted to keep talking to him

" yeah same with me, my brothers probably are wondering where i'm at"

the two walked out of the library emma about to leave from his side when he stopped her

"hey, is there a way i could maybe get your number? you don't have to give it to me obviously but, i has been really fun talking to you and everything"

"yeah sure no problem" emma tells him taking his phone and typing in her number

she was freaking out on the inside cause the matthew sturniolo had asked her for her number.

"i'll text you later then"

"yeah totally see ya"
