emma and nick talked for a little longer about anything and everything. even though the two don't hang that much emma can safely say that her and nick have gotten closer.
it was now around dinner time and the two both walked into the kitchen giggling.
"what are you still doing here? it seems like your not working on your project anymore" chris asked
"oh no, shes um...shes staying for a sleepover" nick awkwardly scratched his neck knowing that matt was in the kitchen and with the recent rejection from the girl he thought it might be awkward.
"oh cool" chris said
"what are we having for dinner?" emma asked
"i don't really know whatever you want I guess. our parents are out for the night so we have the house to ourselves" nick said

just then vicky came into the kitchen
"hey guys, I'm going to head out my mom just texted me that she wanted me home tonight, sorry" vicky apologized as she was putting on her shoe.
