TOMORROW

I've heard that man's greatest weakness is Fear,
But I beg to differ and say it's Procrastination.
We are all different with aspects that make each of us unique,
But there's one thing we share in common; never ending, playing on repeat.
It's the past, the present and the future you all seek,
Let me make it simpler, TIME is what I speak.

You get through life by making excuses,
Ignorant to know that difference is resulted by choices.
You are like a current, going with the flow,
But darling you forget, tomorrow may not show.
Don't wait for tomorrow, tomorrow never comes,
How you spend your present is what really counts.
Nothing comes easy, you reap what you sow,
It might get messy, but work for what you wish for.

I am your guardian angel, I speak from experience,
Consequences do hurt, but they made me fearless.
Now allow me to narrate an amusing tale,
Of a beauty so wishful, with a heart so frail.
Don't get me wrong, I am no fairy godmother,
But I promise to help you, in one way or another.

It might sound wrong to say 'once upon a time',
It's an ongoing story, some may call it mine.
Of a child with great dreams and even greater ambitions,
But she let time fly and failed to take caution.
Thinking life comes easy like the work of a potion,
She received her portion, now she's always in motion.
Trying to make up for what's lost, hoping it's not too late,
Trying to rewrite her destiny and be one of the great.

Give me a minute dear, let me wipe this tear,
It's a lesson to be taught; lend a listening ear.
Tomorrow is not promised, this is what I fear,
A secret to my success, let me whisper, come near.
Make your own path, walk towards your destiny,
Don't dilly-dally, to your future, it's a felony.
Do what needs to be done, don't count on tomorrow,
Spend your time wisely and I assure the rest will follow.
