The soul inside of me is revived again
A spiritual Defibrillator
It overflows with joy, content
In this holy and blessed month
I feel nourished in worship
Inner peace
Despite everything around me
Falling to pieces
For these words, I savour
Their sweet sweet flavour
To moisten dry tongues
And quench my thirst: I go back for more
The Book is then opened
And the beautiful Words from above
Evoke satisfaction when read
Aloud or in gentle whispers
So that when the golden sunset
Filters in
And the fast is broken
I carry on still
Sitting up, leaning 'gainst the window sill
I am engaged in the worship of my Lord
