Paperclip Heart

My heart a paperclip
An inevitable attachment
Temptation too great
Surpassing fate, it might be

Perhaps unworthy of this
Glamourised object
The heart's peace
Interrupted

Expect this disturbance to be: Underrated
So! Cry unto your Lord, O weak one
And let it go like sand through thin fingers

It is void of value
Not to be considered or else
You'll be left in the dust
Of the successful from times gone by

A request, a plea:
Stay pure for the sake of salvation
For the glamour and the glitter deserve damnation
Yes, beauty cannot faze me
So do not come for me and
Let me go to live
Peacefully
