Their cries cannot be silenced
Neither by force nor by choice
While their faces are still moist
Their voices cannot be muffled either
They're still audible
And it's not at all plausible
To deny them their rights
To set a barrier meant to isolate within
the space of merely one nightHumanity is questioned
Solidarity abandoned
As the frontline edges towards the edge
Armed, poised
Ready to commence: destruction
No malfunctions
The women grip their children
The children hold themselves together; tight
But for how long could you hold a fragile china cup before you get tired...
And it breaks away, anyway?
Even when the glue is forced to keep it all together
The weblike cracks will still not
Disappear.
