As Goka, Vegeta, and Krillin delved deeper into the cave, the subtle inconsistencies in Paragus's story became increasingly apparent. The trio couldn't ignore the nagging doubts any longer, and they knew they had to confront him about the web of lies that had been spun around them.

Goka glanced at Vegeta, her eyes reflecting a mix of concern and determination. "Vegeta, we need to get to the bottom of this. Paragus has been feeding us false information."

Vegeta nodded, his jaw set in a determined expression. "Agreed. It's time to confront him and find out what's really going on here."

Krillin added, "We need to be cautious, though. We don't know what Paragus is capable of."

The group continued to advance through the cave, their senses alert and ready to face whatever truth lay ahead.

Meanwhile, Nappa, Raditz, and Bulma, along with Broly, trekked back to the location where Goka, Vegeta, and Krillin had separated from them. When they arrived at the cave's entrance, they were greeted by the sounds of confrontation echoing from within. They recognized the voices of their friends but couldn't make out the words.

As they cautiously entered the cave, they found Goka, Vegeta, and Krillin standing in a tense standoff with Paragus. The expressions on their friends' faces indicated that something was gravely amiss.

Vegeta, his eyes filled with suspicion, stepped forward, his voice cold and demanding. "Enough of your lies. If you don't tell us the truth, we'll find out on our own."

But just as they pressed Paragus for answers, Broly appeared, and Paragus's demeanor shifted, and he reached for a small button on his belt. He glared at Broly and said, "Broly, it's time to prove your loyalty."

Broly looked at Paragus in confusion, his gentle nature in stark contrast to his father's demeanor. "What do you mean, Dad?"

Paragus didn't respond to Broly's question. Instead, he threatened Broly with the button. "If you don't do as I say, I'll make you regret it. Attack them, now."

Broly's face twisted in turmoil as he grappled with his emotions. His internal struggle became apparent when he spoke. "I can't do that. They're Saiyans, like us. And they're... my friends."

It was then that Paragus's eyes fell upon Broly. His expression shifted to one of malevolence as he reached for a button on a small device attached to his belt—the shock collar control.

With a threatening gesture, Paragus made it clear to Broly what he expected of him. "Broly, attack them."

Broly's confusion and inner turmoil were evident. He had developed a genuine fondness for the group, considering them friends and allies. To be commanded to attack them went against everything he had come to believe in this short time.

"Father, they're Saiyans, like us," Broly said, his voice tinged with frustration. "Why would you want me to hurt them?"

Paragus sneered, his voice filled with bitterness. "I don't care about these Saiyans. My only goal is to get off this forsaken planet."

Goka, Vegeta, and Krillin shared an exasperated look, realizing that Paragus had been using them all along. His intentions were driven solely by a desire to escape Vampa, and he was willing to sacrifice the trust and friendship Broly had found with their group to achieve his goal.

Paragus's anger flared as he realized that Broly's loyalty might not be as unwavering as he had hoped. "You fool! They're nothing like us! They're Saiyans, yes, but they're loyal to that accursed Prince Vegeta and his family, the ones who exiled us!

In a swift and calculated move, Vegeta snatched the button from Paragus's hand, a wicked grin tugging at the corners of his mouth.

"You're done playing games, Paragus." He taunted Paragus before bringing the button down onto the ground with a satisfying smash. The shock collar control was rendered useless.

Paragus's expression shifted from anger to sheer panic as he realized the implications of his actions. He was entirely at their mercy, and his fury turned toward Broly.

"Broly, you traitor! You've always been a disappointment!" Paragus yelled.

Broly, standing tall and no longer timid, stepped forward to protect his new friends. "I won't let you hurt them, Father. Not like Baa, They're my friends, and we can get off this planet together."

Nappa, Raditz, and Bulma watched the drama unfold, concerned for Broly's well-being and horrified by Paragus's manipulation.

As Paragus made an attempt to attack them, Broly intervened, his voice firm and unyielding. "No, Father. I won't let you hurt my new friends. They've shown me kindness, something we've never had."

Broly's defiance left Paragus seething with anger, but Broly's loyalty to his new friends proved stronger than the hold Paragus had once maintained over him.

The confrontation between father and son exposed the depths of Paragus's treachery and the extent to which he was willing to manipulate Broly to achieve his own objectives. Broly, on the other hand, had found a sense of belonging with the group of Saiyans who had come to Vampa.

---

The group found themselves at a crossroads, their path forward uncertain. Paragus, still seething with anger at their defiance, felt betrayed by his own son. He had lost control over Broly, who was now determined to leave Vampa with the other Saiyans.

Broly turned to his newfound friends, a grateful smile on his face. "I want to go with you. This place isn't my home. You all have been kind to me, and I want to see what's out there."

Vegeta, who had once been Paragus's target, now took a more authoritative stance. "You're welcome to come with us, Broly."

Paragus, however, refused to accept the inevitable. He shouted at Broly, "You ungrateful child! After all I've done for you, this is how you repay me?"

Broly's response was calm yet resolute. "You've been using me, Father, just like you used that shock collar. I want a chance to make my own choices."

Paragus watched with a mix of anger and helplessness as Broly walked away with his new friends. His sinister plan had crumbled, and he was left on Vampa with nothing but his anger and despair.

Nappa, Raditz, and Bulma supported the decision as well, offering smiles and words of encouragement to Broly.

Before they left, Broly turned to Paragus one last time. "Father, this is my choice. I wish you well, even if we can't be together."
