I went out to my local forest bearing nothing but a backpack, some tubs and a Swiss Army knife . My main goal is to find herb's, fungi and pretty flowers and take them home to use for good luck and to help me on my journeys . I make my way down to the forest and follow a seemingly perfectly even path . After about 10 minutes of walking I have already got thyme , Rosemary, mint and some mushrooms . This shows just how used this trail is (it's not very used at all) . I walk on for another 15-20 minutes and start to find small bones . A tooth then a finger/paw thingy then a bird talon . I don't think much of it till I hear a crunch , at first I thought it was me but it wasn't , this is a clear stone path I thought, how could it have been me ? It happens again . I look down nothing but cream white rocks beneath my feet , "ok that time it really wasn't me" I say as something catches my eye . I rush over completely ignoring the trail and the noise , a bird skull- the representation of the power of life . Wow!! I say as I pick it up with intention and respect , I place it carefully in a wide and deep tub with tissue paper every side so there's no chance of a breakage. I am truly happy today.
