The day before a special day,
Or at least for me.
A day before carnival, it was.
I wished you were there to watch me,
As I was rehearsing with my girls on the stage.
I looked around while dancing,
Couldn't see you anywhere.
Not all wishes come true, I guess.
I wished you were there to watch me,
As I was rehearsing with my people.
I looked around while singing,
This time, I caught a glimpse of you.
But I wished you weren't there,
Cause I caught a glimpse of you,
With your arms around another girl.
