I was drowning.
Instead of getting me to the shore,
You chose to pour more water,
More and more.
I tried to swim,
But I was tied up in your lies.
I tried to scream,
But I was scared of goodbyes.
It took me too long,
But I held the courage,
I made myself strong.
And that was when I chose to drown the ocean.
