Files soar everywhere, the pair snickering as they enter the office. One of many offices to search.

"Search the chief's office," the woman says.

The man nods, scurrying off to perform his task. She oversees the chaos, observing her goons rifle through every drawer of every desk in sight. It's beautiful.

"Ma'am, we've found nothing so far," one of her goons admits, scratching at the back of his neck.

"It may take more than one department," she replies dismissively. He's quick to relax at her soft tone. "No need to fret. Not yet, anyway. Get back to work."

He almost bows, going to his squad and directing them. Hopefully they'll find something small. Anything.

Her husband comes rushing back over. "We have a live one."

Without questioning him, they go up to the chief's office and saunter in, eyeing the heaving man on the ground. She almost smiles but manages to bite it back. That's not what she needs right now. She needs to stay focused. Despite how fun this is, her life is on the line. Normally they wouldn't do front line shit like this, but their daughter left them with no other option.

She kneels in front of the man. "What's your name?"

He holds the gunshot wound on his stomach, coughing up blood. "William."

She nods and observes his wound. "Ouch. I told them to disarm the chief, not kill him. You know, you might be able to live if we get you blood fast enough."

"Why would you care?" he asks as he spits out a mixture of saliva and blood.

She forces a friendly smile. "Because the less death, the better. You see us as savages, we see us as business people. A different kind, sure, but business nonetheless."

William shakes his head with defiance in his blue eyes. "Your business is murdering people."

"Only those who don't listen," she whispers, motioning to him.

William scoffs. "Do whatever you want to me. I don't know what you want, and even if I did, I wouldn't give it to you."

"Y/n L/n," she says. "Where is she?"

"What? I have no idea who that is. Maybe you got the wrong place. Wouldn't surprise me, most crazy bitches like you-"

Her husband punches the man, William gagging on his own blood for a moment. When he whips back around, he practically hisses at them.

"I have no idea who she is! Happy?"

"Not really," she replies with a sigh. "I was hoping to spare you." No she wasn't. "But now, it has to be like this. Execute him, I'll be waiting outside."

He does a polite nod while William rages, his eyes darting around for anything that can help him. The look on his face when he realizes he's going to die is priceless. It makes her smirk as she walks out the door. A bang is heard shortly after.

Her husband comes back out to join her side, shaking his head in the process. "I hoped today would be a good one," he murmurs. She mimics his actions, making a 'tsk' noise with her tongue.

"She learned from the best. I doubt she would've gone to a department close to us. It might take us time to find it, but we have time." She's not sure if she's trying to reassure him or herself.

"This kind of project will take a while. We can't just go around attacking random precincts and hoping for the best. We need a plan, like going undercover."
