Tae absolutely despises this idea, but he has no choice but to go along with it.

Rescuing the little sister of the man who technically got them in this mess thanks to his parents isn't Tae's ideal way of getting Y/n to safety. Tae meant what he said: Jungkook can't choose his parents. But Tae's still a little upset about it. Not at Jungkook, more at the overall situation. He has this root in the pit of his stomach telling him that something bad will happen. He's not sure what, but he hopes that he's wrong.

When the four make it to Jungkook's house, they're not surprised to see cars out front. They're also not surprised to see the door is partly opened.

"Is this the part where we split up?" Jungkook asks, motioning to the two guards out front. "Jimin and Y/n take out the guards, Tae and I go in to get her?"

"Alright Jungkook I'm gonna need you to relax," Jimin says. Jungkook raises both his brows, which causes Jimin to sigh. "We're not in a horror movie. We don't need to be the dumb protagonists who split up when faced with danger. I'd personally feel better if we all stuck together. I don't want to risk losing Y/n or you. Got it?"

Y/n creeps over next to Jungkook, taking his hand. He gives her a squeeze that she smiles to. Tae would be lying if he said he wasn't jealous. It's rough watching his crush with another man, especially when Tae's not sure if he trusts Jungkook or not. It's hard to tell what his true intentions are. It's been months, so he should trust Jungkook, but it's bodyguard instinct to write him off as bad news.

"We need a plan, we can't go in guns blazing," Tae whispers.

"We can sneak around the back, see if anyone's lurking out there and stealth kill them," Jimin whispers back, making sure his pistol is fully loaded. "I don't have much backup ammo, only two mags. We'll have to focus on stealth and preserve bullets."

Tae nods in agreement. They didn't have a chance to prepare for this, but they're always supposed to be prepared for the unexpected.

"They'll have guards in the back too, they're not stupid, but hopefully it's a little more private back there," Tae mumbles.

Jimin then guides them around the entire block, staying far out of view. There are some civilians who look at their stealthy forms with perplexed expressions, but nothing else of note.

When they finally use enough shortcuts and alleyways, they reach the back of Jungkook's house. Tae's theory is correct: There are two guards waiting by the back door, one of them talking into their earpiece.

"We probably don't have much time. They're expecting us," Jimin says. "Jungkook, how smart is your sister?"

"Smarter than you."

"That's a low bar. Let's hope she'll know what to do when the time comes. Tae, you get the one on the left, I got the one on the right."

Tae goes stiff at that. "You want me to leave Y/n with Jungkook?"

"Okay, ouch." Jungkook pauses to groan. "Are we seriously still doing this? Have I not proved myself trustworthy?"

"You've proven nothing."

"I have a pistol and he has an injured shoulder," Y/n interrupts. "Not to mention I have training from the damn mafia. I'm sure I can handle it. Now go, before anything worse happens to Yuri. Each second we spend here is another she could be getting hurt."

Tae's eyes slightly widen at her bold words, then, he sighs and agrees. Y/n backs up from Jungkook albeit reluctantly, giving Tae a small peace of mind.

"We'll signal you in," Tae whispers before moving with Jimin.

They creep along the side of the fence, Jimin holding his knife. Tae cracks his knuckles and waits for Jimin to split off from him. Soon enough, they're both in position and give each other the gesture that means "go."
