More than we ever thought we'd have

~The bad case~

Usually a typical morning for the Halstead aren't as hectic as you might think, they normally wake the girls up early so they have plenty of time to deal with temper tantrums. This however was not a typical morning, it was complete chaos.

Jay and Hailey had both woken up late so of course they had minimal time to get themselves ready as well as three kids.

Hailey was trying to fix their lunch as fast she could, while jay was putting yogurt in 3 different bowl for them to eat as breakfast, there was certainly no time for cooking.

After Hailey threw together some kind of lunch and Jay fed Ava while Mia and Nevaeh ate, they finally made it out the house.

Just like any other morning Hailey took Nevaeh to school and Jay took Mia and Ava

"you buckled?" Hailey asked while putting the key in the ignition "yep" Nevaeh said, "God I thought we were never gonna make it out the house today" Hailey said driving away. "I know especially because Mia acts like a brat" Nevaeh said rolling her eyes "hey!, we don't call each other names" Nevaeh shrugged her shoulders "well it's true" Nevaeh said 

Hailey shook her head "I know your sister can be a little sassy and needy sometimes but you still shouldn't call her names like that" "fine" 

Before long they were pulling up at Nevaeh's school, "you got everything?" asked Hailey looking in the backseat, Nevaeh nodded her head "yep", "ok have a good day I love you" Nevaeh leaned up and Hailey kissed her forehead "bye mom love you too"

Jay was on the way to the daycare to drop off the 2 youngest "you girls ready for school" he asked looking in his rearview mirror, of course Ava didn't say anything but giggle however Mia never missed an opportunity to talk "yeah I am so excited because my teacher said that if we are really good this week then we get to have a party on Friday with a lot of food" 

Jay opened his mouth and eyes wide in disbelief "wow really!!"Mia nodded her head proudly "yep" Jay shook his head "then you better be good" Mia nodded her head "oh I will be and my class because we want the candy" Jay chuckled 

He looked in his rearview mirror at Ava "Ava Grace what you doing back there girl" he said in a playful voice "you want to go see all your friends?" Ava said "yes" in her little voice. She only knew around 20 words but the doctor said thats normal. 

Jay smiled at her "yeah?" Ava nodded her head "but Ava is a baby how can she have friends" Jay  did a playful gasps then looked at Ava "Ava did you hear that she called you a baby" Ava who had no clue as to what in the world was going on she just continued laughing 

Jay looked back at Mia "doesn't matter what age you are you can still have friends" "did I have have friends when I was baby?" Mia asked  "oh yeah you had bunches of them" Mia smiled big "really?" jay dramatically nodded his head "oh yeah"

Before long they were pulling up at the day care, Jay took them in side and kissed them goodbye before leaving to go to work.

As soon as he pulled up he saw Hailey sitting in her car on her phone, he got out the truck and walked over to her car and knocked on the window. The noise scared her pulling eh rout of her trance, she looked at jay and grinned before getting out the car.
