To be enough for you?
White? Blonde?
Stupid? Supermodel-Pretty?
Blue-eyed? Confident?
Twig like? Freckles?
Blue jeans and tight shirts?
Basic? Whiny?
Well I'm sorry. I'm not.
I'm a Hispanic brunette
I'm smart, and I'm just OK in beauty.
I'm brown-eyed and shy.
I'm not a twig. I don't have freckles.
I wear baggy cargos and oversized shirts
I'm not basic and I definitely don't whine.
But she's all of that
is that's why you paid attention to her?
Why you never gave me two thoughts?
I'm just too much the opposite
For you to ever like me...
When she'd do something "funny"
You'd laugh and smile
And when I'd try to make you laugh
You'd be the most dead-faced ever
You don't understand
How hard it was for me to stand there
